DI tick is real, but I don’t think thats what’s going on here...purely based on the pattern.

My best guess is that it is timing chain related. Maybe uncoated chain guides or excessive slack?

Yeah, I think the Z4 speaks to me more than the Supra. 

That or trying too hard to combine the styling of the so 90s melted bar of soap design with modern styling trends.
