Yes, removing mufflers yields performance gains. Less back -pressure more power.

If the Tacoma was as unreliable as those two, it wouldn’t have changed anything. The fact that it was significantly more reliable is why it did.
Hey now, that screenshot is actually showing the truck driver stopping a teenage reckless driver/car thief running from the cops in the Veloster who was tearing through a neighborhood and parks with kids around.
The Tacoma has the same problem damn near everything Toyota has produced for the last 20 years has. Does a good job at being reliable and efficient, is super boring and is middle of the pack in every other way other than the price tag.
The official ride of penniless meth heads with an inferiority complex and a goatee.
I remember a motor trend (or C&D/R&T - I don’t remember) in about 97 that had a comparo of “the best handling car under 30k” or something like that, and even THEN I was shocked that the camaro made the list.
They were kinda close stock to stock. The new edge was just barely behind the 4th gen in skidpad and slalom.
WS6: 65mph slalom 0.87g skid
SN-95 63.7 mph slalom 0.86 g skid (New Edge)
SN-95 62.1 mph slalom 0.80 g skid (93-98)

The 4th gen handily beat the Mustangs throughout its entire lifecycle. The Camaro was also the better handling car.
When those turbos spool, you get the torque of a 7.0+L engine and the fuel economy to match.
They are actually less efficient than a naturally aspirated V8 under higher loads.
2.7L 4wd Crew Cab here. I drive primarily city and my dash says 21.3mpg right now and I haven’t reset it in about 5000 miles. Even if it’s off a bit, I’m still close to or over 20 mpg.
My Ford Edge 2.0 Ecoboost AWD does about 16 mpg city. Its abysmal. Decent highway though.
Cool. Totally didn’t know that!
tOSU’s athletic department is one of the few in the nation that is completely self funded and does not take any money from the university’s general fund. It’s the mid major programs in the G5 like Eastern Michigan that suck at the teat of taxpayers to pay for their football team.
I’m irrational, but I’m not crazy.
Dashboard would seem a match.
Never let the facts get in the way of a joke. Seriously, have you EVER seen a priest, a rabbi and an imam walk into a bar? No! But you play along for the joke, which has a good chance of being super offensive.
Can confirm this. 2012 Eco. Mostly in city traffic for me, with some trips out of town each week where I can get a nice 55 or 80 on the highways. My average is 14.9 for the life of the vehicle (I have owned it since 500mi)
Except if you actually need that V8 power out of your V6 you’re losing economy most of the time...
169 years is too much for this crime
