If the E39 was so bad why did Ford basically copy the whole front end?

100% a sleeper n54 that can really be woken up with tunes and mods. Manual AWD makes it even quicker. The ZFs weren’t bad just kinda meh reliablity.

1st gear: With all the problems with new cars right and build quality, I would 100% lease right now and if you like the car enough, further down buy it out if it makes financial sense.

Oh 100%, that would make total sense. I would assume Ford made provisions for the Maverick to eventually move from Hybrid to full EV 

Agree if it was an only car might be difficult, but as a 2nd car, a daily run around, it would be fine.

I think people are getting caught up on the wrong Gear. 2nd is more important by along shot imo

Dubbed Honda’s “Big block” at the time the SOHC F-series. These things run like tops and take every beating you give them. Sure they aren’t exactly powerful but 30 years old and will take every redline you throw at it.

Imo gmt400s, 350s v8 still plentiful including aftermarket, 4l60e is the weak point but depends on owner abuse.

And why I think the Lightning will be the turning point (or won’t be), move the #1 market to EV sooner the better.

So I think the Lightning will be the tell tail whether or not EV sales will take off this decade.

Sister bought a low mile 3rd gen Highlander last year and boy am I glad she did it then vs now. We didnt get a great deal but was a bit below market value.

Clean Economy car that probably wont need anything as long as you keep up with oil changes. (Run Synthetic asap in these cars and dont let the oil get dark... Cylinder 3 likes to get hot and will come knocking)
