Short version:

Yeah, I don’t buy any of this. Why would all the countries cooperate, why haven’t there been leaps in tech based on Alien ships? Why would they even come here? Why would they even send anything biological, if anything it would be a drone/ai bot. Why have all the UFOs for the last 70 years looked nothing like what ever

Publick and Hammer are the kings of callback. Even the still photo of Dean in the back seat behind Orpheus and Twilight has the same setup as a shot from the original opening credits (the gang flying in the X1).

If they never get another chance to make any more of these, then I at least hope they get every opportunity to channel that same creativity and passion to something else.

Honestly this show had absolutely no right to be as funny as it was , and I say that as a late 40s straight guy who watched it with his daughter .

The first time I saw the film I was expecting the detonators to be reversed, with the civilians deciding to blow up the prisoners but actually blowing themselves up, from the Joker’s perspective that would have been one hell of a joke.

This time line is missing the important day in 1983 when He-Man stormed Barbies dream house,  beat the crap out of Ken and flew back to Castle Greyskull with his new very tall bride Barbie

This has my favourite Joker part in the entire movie when Gamble asks:

I’ve never actually seen Akira, but those examples have been a part of my understanding of the movie for years, and I know I’m not the only one.”

Fuck. The internet is so exhausting sometimes...

..and my (golden) axe!

Seconded.

IMO if a game is no longer being sold then having an archived version (ROM) and redistributing it for free should pose no problem. Zero profits are being lost. And if this pushes companies to rerelease games on their own emulated device, then the title is still preserved.

Just took 23 years to get him in that suit!

Jesus, as if I don’t already have a continuous reminder that people are idiots and the internet has not turned out like the creators thought.

I mean, that’s how they “taught” about the race massacre up until the early aughts (something like that. Well after I was in school.) (Except for one teacher at my school, Eddie Faye Gates, but I wasn’t lucky enough to have her for Oklahoma history.)

If there’s a show or movie you like or love and it’s on physical media, BUY IT, that’s all.

Can we talk about that other dogshit Star Wars article here? I k ow it’s not on you guys as writers, but G/O should quite frankly be embarrassed by what it spat out. Riddled with basic errors, editorially dull (it literally follows the same sentence structure for each movie).

I honestly did not realise Mattel had bought out Matchbox (they’ve owned it since 97)
