Apparently someone thought there must always be a character that everyone treats like shit. For a long time it was Guillermo, but since gaining begrudging respect from the vampires the role of shit-upon has been vacant. I don’t understand why the guide was slotted there when they could have done more with the

We’ve also gotten a LOT of Lazlo compared to the others this season. Which I do love, especially since for the past couple seasons we’ve seen him grow and become a really supportive (in his own way) friend to Colin, Nandor and even Guillermo. But this definitely helped give some of the others chances to shine again.

I mean, “you forgot this one example of a supporting character from a two-year old move” does not make a great case for robust tradition of superheroes from that ethnic background.

I don’t do co-op, and while I liked the first Remnant, I found some of its encounters were so clearly designed for multiple players that I couldn’t really enjoy it solo. (Thinking of a couple of early bosses here.) I’m enjoying II more, but I got to the first boss of the first area I explored (a dude named “Legion”),

Whoa back, the deal with Tom Clancy books(I mean I stopped reading around Rainbow Six) is that they’re obsessed with “realism” past the point where it starts to get boring. That does NOT describe anything with this show at all, not even in the context of its sci-fi-magic world! It would have been a huge step up, lol.

This. I will start to retroactively hate Spider-Verse if it becomes the default look for animated movies for the next ten years.

The RE2 Remake plays a lot more like the original games, much slower, more methodical, lots of options to run like hell from the enemies. Fair warning if you’re a fan of the original 2, the Mr. X stuff (especially in Leon’s storyline) takes a while to get used to. RE3 will likely give you some issues as they designed

1000% this. Ketchup is for fries that suck. If your fries need ketchup, they aren’t worth eating anyway.

I mean, you hear it if you go up to Duluth.

In order to fully understand and respect your fine and noble culture, I have been studying your speech.

The bigger issue isnt that those things are exhausting it’s that theyre *not enough*. Hes too focused on that stuff and forgets we have to care about these characters

and reruns

Yes of course it is. Its crazy to me that feminists like me can say “Brie being targeted for her gender and a comment about the diversity of movie reviewers” is unfair and problematic, then somehow gets turned into “but, but how about me as a cishet male? I can’t say I didn’t like the movie based on its merits?! Stop

all the shit I wanna see is parceled away on different streaming services. It would be nice if they had some reduced rate/VOD option so I could just watch the stuff I wanted to without signing up for the rest of it (and probably forgetting to cancel before the next month).”

I’d like to join the curmudgeon thread by pointing out that this...

I agree with your sentiment and regularly lament similarly. That said, the simple fact that there are so many streamers all desperately throwing anything and everything at the wall to see what sticks is why we’ve gotten so many (too many?) excellent offerings to gaze upon made by people with wonderfully diverse

I think it’s worth pointing out that one of the definite forebears of Wes Anderson’s style, it’s the eightieth anniversary (or near enough - premiered 10/6/43, so eighty years and six days) of The Life And Death Of Colonel Blimp - which is one of Anderson’s favourite films. Definitely, you can see the stylisation

He literally said they have Disney+ in the quote lol. Unless I’m supposed to take “we have Disney+” to mean the royal we, as in “Disney+ is available to humanity in this plane of existence.” I think he’s just saying they subscribe to it but don’t watch it often.

It’s worth noting that Riverdale is also based in a sort of nostalgia now, with this entire season being set in the 1950s for no apparent reason.

whatever you do, don’t visit the subreddit on Clone High. It’s a giant flaming smorgasbord of anger towards S2. People hate everything about it because Gandhi isn’t there, there was a voice change with Cleo (because reasons), other background characters aren’t as active, Abe sucks, and that it’s taking some time to
