Sounds like she dove right into the culture wars of the 21st century... by borrowing the plot of a 1980 Brian DePalma movie... for a novel about a detective named “Cormoran Strike.”

The good news:
Jeez louise, the millions of people who built an entire personality around liking a series of chidlren’s books must be having a rough one.
I agree that it’s a great tribute to Cohen, but as basically a funeral dirge for the election with McKinnon in full HRC costume, it is laughable, and not in a good way. But to each their own I suppose, if you find it powerful, that’s good for you.
The RNC really dropped the ball by not playing Cohen’s “The Future.” (It’s about extremes and picking sides. And so is everything else now.)
It wasn’t from Hallelujah, but the Leonard Cohen lyric I grip onto the most in my life is: “There’s a crack, a crack in everything...It’s how the light gets in”
The McKinnon version is quite possibly the most cringeworthy musical performance I’ve ever seen
Didn’t she claim that “Who could have known” in regards to Weinstein?
These appearances have zero value except to give Trump something to tweet about. As we get into the election homestretch, Hillary could do the Democratic Party a huge favor and go dark for a few months.
Is anyone ever gonna get the DNC (and late night hosts like Colbert, and maybe the woman herself) to wise up and talk Hilary out of doing all these talk shows/public appearances? I mean, somebody has to realize how much of a lightning rod of hate/ill will she is, right? Like, blame it on sexism or Trump or whatever,…
I know a lot of people in PA had problems with her mostly coming to the state for big donor dinners that the press wasn’t allowed near.
I ran out of gas! I—I had a flat tire! I didn’t have enough money for cab fare! My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!!!
I mean anyone could fucking say “told you so” about Trump. Not sure why we somehow are viewing HRC as some oracle.
Honestly, how bad a presidential candidate does one have to be to actually lose against Donald Trump should have been Cobert’s first and only question.
Russia is the reason she went to FL, PA, OH, NC and MI 87 times in the last 102 days compared to Trumps 133 including actually stepping foot in WI?
Hell I could say ‘I told you say’ about Hillary being a bad candidate and I voted for her in the general.
She thought it’d be easy and wouldn’t you know it the GOP fought hard (and dirty), surprising no one. I’m disappointed Colbert is such a shill.
Counterpoint: The virtual format allowed the DNC to book people who the crowd at an in-person event would not and should not tolerate. People like Bill Clinton, Colin Powell and John Kasich.
I mean, yes she’s right and could definitely say I told you so. So could any of us who voted for her and warned people about the dangers of electing Trump. That said, would it do any good with the hard core Trump supporters/cult members ? Those people have bathed in grape kool aid and are beyond help. Also, she should…
Yeah, and she looks like hell. The past 4 years have taken quite a toll on her.
