One of the reasons I got my Ham license was when I learned that real truckers are on 2meters and ditched the CB in the late 80's because of all the weirdos on it.

Some people you have to just kick in the shin and tell them to shut up for a moment.

But there is no law requiring a license to buy a car, own a car, register a car, etc. But then, we seem to have a problem in this country where licenses are suspended, revoked, etc and the agencies that track this kind of stuff make no effort to actually prevent people from getting behind the wheel.

Advocate for more comprehensive operator standards here. You take your test in a compact sedan with an auto, that’s all you can drive. You want a big SUV, you need to complete the test in a big SUV. Engine size (or power ratings) should apply. The test has to be realistic. No simple spin around the block on a sunny

Mazda Speed3, Ford Focus RS (or ST, forget which one I was looking at), and Volvo C30 are all based on the same chassis, have similar drivetrains, and share a lot of components. The Volvo cost about half to insure in MA than the other two.
