And we should trust Tesla’s explanation because it isn’t like Tesla has anything to lose if it turn out it was autopilot that caused the crash, right?

Fuel economy hasn’t improved? The new one is 1,200 lbs heavier, has over twice the power and gets almost 40% better mpg; I’d call that a significant improvement in fuel efficiency.
That sound you heard was the collective sigh of relief when people saw the front axle.
Which road should you take? The one that leads you to a happy life in the suburbs, filled with tee-ball games and PTA meetings; or the one that leads downtown to a condo and nights of expensive dinners trying to impress people who don’t really like you? Which part of the system do you chose?
What about her team? Van Den Driessche has already said she retired from cycling -she won’t be able to find a pro team anyway. So this ban is somewhat pointless. But the UCI regulations say, in no ambiguous manner, that her team also faces a minimum six month suspension. And her team in this case is the Belgian…
Tesla is bleeding money and they did the Model 3 “reveal” to try to drum up some cash. The fact that now they say that the interior will change, they are asking people to make the exterior look better... you ask me what they revealed is what everybody else calls a concept.
Holy rear overhang Batman!
Ohmyfuckinggodtheydidit! So much Freedom... enough to make a bald eagle cry. ‘Mericaaaaa!!!!
Have you looked at pick ups recently? When I bought my Wrangler (yes, I own one) I also considered a pick up. Tacoma we’re all over $30k. Yeah, I know they supposedly start at $24 or something like that. Good luck finding one at that price.
Yet the Wrangler is still one of the best selling products Jeep has. Last year only the Cherokee outsold the Wrangler. Considering the Wrangler sits on an 8 year old platform and the Cherokee has been on the market only 2, I’d say the Wrangler is a good proposition.
A Wrangler based pick up should start around $25k. And probably can be brought down more, given that the 2dr Wrangler starts at $23k. Even at about 25, it is not too far from the base Tacoma and Colorado.
Yes, and you can get a Ram SRT10 for less than that. If you Tavarish it, you can probably get a Viper and an SRT10 for $35k
You just don’t get it. And that’s ok.
Au contraire, I’d say that any date happy to be picked up on that car is a keeper.
Holy crap that Tesla is porky. 5400lbs curb weight is about the same as a Suburban which is significantly larger than the Model X. I don’t care how fast it gets to 60mph, the Model X is overweight and it will pay for it on efficiency.
Why buy a Pagani Huayra when you can buy this car that makes twice more power for less?
I remember seeing the Renault Sport Spider at an autoshow, it must have been 1996, maybe early 1997. No windshield, it looked like something from out of space. It was amazing. In another five years, once they can be imported into the US I may even look for one to bring in. In blue, with the crazy wind deflector…
Or: they’ll build them in Nissan’s plant in Mexico and sell them in he US as a Dinalpin. That way Renault can make money selling them to Americans and still be all smug and say “you don’t get the real thing” (with a heavy french accent)
I don’t see a Cherokee. I do see a Range Rover rear end and a 1980s Ford Ranger front. Actually, the front has a strong Ford Explorer vibe to me. Given that the Explorer came ten years after, I’d say this was ahead of its time.
The way I read it the EPA is saying that you cannot remove/modify the emission system on any car that was certified for road use. It doesn’t matter if the car will be used for competition only or not.
