You could make him one of Khan’s followers.

So much this, the film could have ended with Cumberbatch back in his sleep pod and the pull back reveals OST Khan 2-3 pods down from him. So unnecessary for Cumberbatch to be Khan.

Yeah, none of these live action Disney remakes seem like a particularly good idea.  

This kinda strikes me as an issue I don’t think an adult should have.
