My daughter was born during the 2004 tsunami. I went into labor right around midnight EST and she was born roughly 7hrs later when the first tsunami first hit land.

Both Michael Jackson and my father died on my daughter’s birthday. Her birthday wish the next year was for no one to die. :(

I'm glad that the most significant thing that is happened on my birthday was Nelson Mandela being released from prison. I was 2 or 3. :)
