I guess technically Petunia got a rejection letter.

There was a pencil sketch of Florence used as a prop on Hannibal that I was tempted to bid on, for its own sake, until the price skyrocketed way beyond what I was willing to pay. But then I realized that explaining where it came from would probably make casual acquaintances worry about being in my house.
Last weekend, I discovered a local uber-rich person had, on some of his insanely expensive real estate, built a tiny Elizabethan town - a blacksmith's, a jail with stocks and gallows, other businesses, a grounded pirate ship, a castle - all on a scale of little free-standing sheds. I have my eccentric millionaire role…
It's called Tiny Tails to You - http://tinytailstoyou.com/. They even bring mats to keep the poop under control!
Yeah there's a company here in Austin that brings and manages portable petting zoos with small animals like rabbits, hedgehogs, chinchillas, etc. Our offices have a big deck, so it was out there. I've never seen so many adults literally squee.
I made chicken enchiladas with a suiza sauce from scratch. Though it seems impossible, I think I actually used too much cheese. But still tasty.
Hooray Martha Jones!
So jealous. We had a petting zoo one day and it was basically the greatest thing ever.
I felt awful yesterday and had to bail on a happy hour with friends. Pretty sure it was a combination of air pressure changes, allergies and PMS, but I felt like death and was cranky as hell to boot. But, I took an Advil PM and went to bed as soon as it was dark out, and BOOM I feel like myself again today. Hooray…
Painting furniture, working in the yard, family cookout. MURRICA.
I'm in a bit of a TV show dry spell. I'm rewatching Orphan Black from the beginning before I start Season 4, plus Peaky Blinders, which I like but not in a gotta-keep-watching binge sort of way.
Man, I've been wrong all over this comments section. Usually I try to spread my factual inaccuracies out. Clearly it's time for a re-watch!
Wow! I had no idea. I assumed, with the different names, that she must be her sister. I just read her bio on imdb.com - she was also a Muppeteer in the Jim Henson company. What a badass career she's had.
That behind-the-scenes featurette is pretty great, especially the puppeteers figuring out how to make hand-faces for the Helping Hands scene, but I was always so confused as to why Dr. Crusher was teaching the choreography. Turns out Gates McFadden has a choreographer twin sister.
Except the young Froud wouldn't make the appropriately cute baby gurgles on cue, so those are actually performed by his father (Brian Froud, as noted by White Suburban Punk).
Ariadne Oliver is my favorite secondary character of Christie's. The lady had some serious fun at her own expense with that character. And Zoe Wanamaker is fabulous too. Hallowe'en Party is probably my favorite of hers.
Work in a Hamilton tie-in and you'll be making money hand-over-fist.
me-YOOOOW
Happy belated birthday! I'm sorry it bummed you out, but way to turn it towards your goals!
I love David Suchet's Poirot. Sometimes the adaptations are a little off the mark, for my taste, but his Poirot is never short of perfection.
