Yeah and she doesn't deal well with uncertainty (not that many would in this situation, but she can really drive herself crazy). Her husband is in a program right now that takes most of his time, so another friend and I are trying to come up with as many distractionary activities as possible for this week.

I saw Ant-Man and binge-watched all of Bojack Horseman. I liked the former as expected, and the latter quite a bit more than I anticipated. Now I'm exhausted from too little sleep and the emotional rollercoaster of one of my best friends finding out she's pregnant, then maybe not, then maybe there's a problem… Doctors

True, it doesn't sound like the stroke has been confirmed yet.

So… hungry… for fame….

You've been out of the womb for 24 hours and haven't booked a gig yet? Pull yourself up by your bootie-straps, you slacker.

Missing from your list: "pillow talk"

Newp. To be fair, it's with an actual doctor - we have a doctor's office on our campus. They do a blood panel and take your weight and blood pressure. It's a CYA because our insurance is self-funded or whatever it's called. And it's a good opportunity for the doctor to tell you you're fat, like this is new information.

Mandatory fun always annoys the shit out of me, even if it's something I'd want to do. If you're going to require that kind of crap, then at least do a shuttle service to make it as painless as possible.

We have to have a "wellness screening" every year for our insurance at work. My weight's up (no surprise) but my cholesterol is down and healthy. Success?

I had a job lead that I was super excited about via an old coworker who's now at a local agency. The agency recently did a project for my company, and it turns out part of their contract is that the agency can't hire anyone from my company for 2 YEARS after the completion of the project. This, despite the fact that I

Good! Hung out with my niece, dyed her hair blue (with my sister's blessing) and continued her education in sushi and Marvel movies.

Did you hear about Pluto? That's messed up.

I took a pretty big break after the first few (3, I think) before I gave it another shot. It definitely gets more interesting, if you're at all interested.

Ha thanks - we finally figured it out. Usually we're much better at coordinating drinking. A couple of them have new jobs, so we were having trouble figuring out the best location/time/transportation options.

I have a lead on a new job that I'm really excited about, but trying not to be so I'm not disappointed if I don't get it (not working).

So cranky today. Everything's irritating me. Friends who can't make up their damn minds about where to HH after work, coworkers who "drop by" to ask me to take care of things that are other teams' responsibilities, meetings to go over things already decided in other meetings. Nothing is really terrible, just all

I'm almost done with Sense8. The first few episodes dragged so it took me a while to get back to it, but once it started picking up (IMO around ep 6), it got really interesting. There's still a bit too much navel-gazing for my taste, but I'm looking forward to finishing out the season now.

An undead army of tomaytos? That's a blockbuster hit right there!

Pffft Skid Row… the real fans are from his Emmy-worthy turn as guitar-playing sandwich artist Gil on Gilmore Girls!

Upvoted for commiseration :). Gah this made me realize I've been at my job for almost 3 years now. Where has the time gone? (oh yeah, AVC commenting…)
