I'm trying to imagine the townspeople with internet and smartphones. It's… not working in my brain. "Wait, Google's telling me it's NOT normal to be possessed by homicidal spirits or journey to metaphysical lodges."

More in "I'm not sure why, but here you go": Will Forte, Anjelica Huston. We probably need some youngins for Twin Peaks: TNG, but I can't think of any younger actors who can give really good, weird-without-being-slapstick performances. Brie Larson? Emma Stone?
Hmm…rewatch now, or wait and rewatch right before the new episodes? Clearly, the answer is to rewatch twice.
I'm not usually a fan of anthology episodes - a lot of times it feels like shows use them as filler to not have to write a fully fleshed out story - but not Gravity Falls. Theirs always seem to hit just the right notes, I expect because they are true to their characters, rather than plugging them into a formulaic…
Cosi fan Turtle
I will cry at the drop of a hat, but I was surprised when Tangled made me cry with the scene on the lake with the lanterns. Beautiful animation, that song, her parents going out the light the lantern. It all just killed me. I think there's something about that kind of lighted vigil that always gets me too. The…
I found a box full of my old Rex Stout books. I prefer re-reading right before bed - if I read new stuff when I'm tired, I lose track of the story way too quickly. I'm excited to re-read these - it's been a long time. Going to the library for new (non-drowsy) reading material this weekend!
Thanks!
Maybe a little dollop of sour cream or crema mixed in? I try to incorporate smoked salmon into as many things as possible and commend your breakfast burrito experiment.
I made a spinach artichoke dip with shredded chicken and then added bacon, because yolo or something. It was actually supposed to be baked chicken with a spinach-artichoke topping, but I didn't have much chicken so I swapped proportions and shredded up the chicken. It was delicious but made a metric ton and it's going…
Pear martini at Bartlett's in Austin - St. Germain, Grey Goose Poire, Candied Pear. I was burned out on dirty martinis and asked the bartender for "something in the martini family, but a little on the sweet side, but not too sweet" and she delivered perfection. Life lesson: when dealing with a professional, always ask…
I've crossed the line from apathetic to actually depressed about my job, which is making me bad at my job, which is making me angry, because I like being good at my job. I don't think I've traveled into full-on life depression yet (been there before) and I'm hoping I can snap myself out of it before it gets there. But…
But Ed featured Justin Long, who later played one of Jess' boyfriends! I let TV confuse me too much.
I was going to vote for Bradley Cooper, since he speaks French and does his best acting via CGI. Are we not voting? Isn't this casting a democracy?!
The horse came from Belle's house and wasn't there at the time of the curse. I'm not sure why I felt the need to answer that.
Jon Hamm. I hear he's especially good at expectorating.
I'm ok with violence when I'm expecting it, but I guess my expectations were more at "Brothers Grimm" level - I was caught completely by surprise at how graphic the violence was. It was enough to put me off the movie pretty quickly, despite Jeremy Renner (which is impressive for me).
Boner Time 2: Electric Boneroo?
The Zack Morris-style fourth-wall breaking killed it for me, despite my love of Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell. Zack did it way better.
Very true, though I think looking at how it went off the rails (IMO, 2nd half of season 3 through 4) and then righted itself somewhat in season 5 would be interesting.
