For those who don’t get the joke, the real Sublime Text is a fairly popular desktop text editor:

I had abandoned all hope of finishing anything. I’d played nothing consistently in weeks until this week. I started up Final Fantasy IV and have been playing for a couple of hours every night. Cecil just swapped to paladin, so things are progressing nicely.

This game was a staple of my childhood. I might even like it

MAULIN’ BOATS: Insert your own strong female protagonist joke here.

Started Scarlet Nexus last night, and yeah, it’s definitely a slow start with a lot of clunky exposition. Glad to hear it opens up and becomes fun. What I will praise, though, is the art direction. I’m loving the mix of grungy urban environments with high tech displays. I think it’s neat that they went with

Took a break from games last week, but I'm ready to dive into Scarlet Nexus this weekend. Loved the demo

I made very, very minor progress in Tales of Destiny 2 (Eternia), exploring the world map enough to recognize that even having a magical ocean-crossing skateboard thing, the game’s still just putting mountain ranges around the places it doesn’t want me to go to yet. I found the continent I’m supposed to go to next,

This weekend my siblings are visiting for the first time in forever, so will probably play something multiplayer like CTR or Smash Bros. Also have a Pathfinder game this evening.

I’m a little nervous that my entire Steam wish list is 60-75% off right now thanks to the Summer sale. My wallet’s already crying after I spent too much on England football (soccer) and rugby shirts this month. So far, I’ve only succumbed to one item: We. The Revolution and as I currently type, I haven’t played that

Gonna try to make substantial progress in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition this weekend. I’ve been in Agniratha for a while, hoovering up the sidequests so I can unlock whatever the special surprise is. It’s extremely repetitive! But it’s a good way to grind, which I need right now.

I mean, no one is forcing you to like the game. If you don’t think BotW is great, that’s fine, though that goes both ways; a fan like me isn’t bothered by someone who doesn’t get what makes it great. The cooking system was easy and fun for me. The movement is way deeper than just filler; it has puzzle elements and is

I’ll tell you this weekend I am not playing Mario Golf because for some reason I thought it was coming out today and will not game in protest of my own stupid error.

Breath of the Wild was…fine. Some good things, some really annoying things. I think it was just the Nintendo/Zelda fans that really went crazy over it.

Life’s too short to care too much about what other people think. I mean, I disagree with you about BotW, but that’s fine, because people think A Link Between Worlds is great and I thought it was surprisingly bad.

GASP! You have an opinion!!! HOW DARE YOU!!! In all seriousness, If you don’t like it, you don’t like it and move on. I thought BOTW was highly overrated as far as Zelda games go, but I played through it, and moved onto something else. Your gamer card won’t be revoked for disliking a game everyone else enjoys. There

I never finished BoTW, got all the divine beasts complete and gave up. I never felt strong enough to even run around Hyrule without hording tons of food.

I didn’t adore Breath of the Wild either (though it’s a great game), mainly because of the monotonous shrines and the disappointing dungeons (dungeons have been my favorite thing about past Zelda games), but I really don’t see big issue. First thing is this game, while it seems similar, is also very different in terms

Personally I just didn’t really enjoy BotW. Zelda is my favorite gaming series and I have been playing since the 80s. BotW stripped out everything that made a Zelda game a Zelda game in favor of a generic open world concept.

Liked BOTW, maybe even loved it for a bit. Did all 120 shrines, did not do all 900 seeds (fuck outta here). Ultimately decided against the Master Quest.

I just started BOTW a month ago and feel more.or less the same. It’s a good game but I just can’t see where a lot of the praise is coming from. So much of the game is only ok, like the combat and most of the puzzles.

I think you’re maybe overdramatizing the impact of Breath of the Wild. It was a big game and many people loved it, but something like 6 million people played it the first year of the Switch. There are HUNDREDS of millions of other gamers that hadn’t touched it and thousands of other games being discussed. I’m not
