So far Super Mario Odyssey is chill and fun and a lovely time. I’ve only been to the first couple of worlds but it’s a gorgeous game with solid mechanics and just a good spirit.

Currently, I feel like all of my PS friends can tell I’m under stress, because I’m alternately playing Stardew (this weekend’s plan), Portia, and Slime Rancher, with the occasional drunken dip into Lego City Undercover. (A super fun Wii U launch title that I randomly picked up in a PSN sale.)

Tropico 4 - the hideously politically incorrect banana republic simulator I can’t let go of.

As both a part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and a movie based on a video game, this movie is truly an intersection of two things I have no interest in separately, that I still have no interest in combined. I’d probably have been roped into watching it if it was an utter trainwreck, but there’s nothing exciting

I got a Joystick and have been playing DCS World, a free flight simulator with tons of DLC. At first I could barely get off the ground. I can now reliably get off the ground, and frequently get to the combat area, before being killed nearly instantly. I looked up what it takes to get head tracking installed, and after

Since The Division went on sale and because I’ve been playing a lot of R6, my backlog of games in the Ubisoft launcher have been staring me down, reminding me of their presence everytime I’d launch Uplay. After taking a break from the Assassin’s Creed series in what’s been a whole decade (the last one I completed

I am playing Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam and it’s pretty good. I have a ton of other stuff going as well but apparently my TV belongs to the better half’s Stardew Valley playthrough for the next month so I’m going to focus on my 3DS backlog.

I just finished Days Gone on Wednesday; this seems to be a common refrain with people who completed it, but it’s probably the single most underrated game I’ve played in years. I’m all but certain the majority of the poor reviews were made by people who failed to reach even the 10-hour mark in the game when things

I’m finally getting around to Astral Chain. I was close to buying Vanquish, DMC, and DMC3 on various sales and then I reminded myself that I never even got to the third mission in Astral. Things pick up considerably and I’m starting to enjoy it.

This has been a pretty good time for playing catchup on games I didn’t get around to last year, or jumping back into others I haven’t played as much.

Dreams! Finally have a weekend I can sit and play a bit!

I’ve given in and started looking forward to CTR’s monthly events. Of course, it helps a lot that they’ve slowed down on adding characters, so I no longer have to grind out thousands of coins on top of quests. And I’ve said it before, but I respect Activision for eschewing lootboxes, even though cosmetics are still

I’m still playing the hell out of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Continuing the Imperial Agent class story. My particular agent is a female Zabrak, and she was last seen heading to the poison planet of Quesh to track down the missile deterrent that Ardun Kothe, the Republc Intelligence officer who was acting as my

Me: “Oh, sure. The best video you can find to illustrate your point is nearly 60 minutes long??”

Mario Fans — Offhandedly reference game trivia as if it was a Bible quote in the 1600's, correctly assuming that everyone gets it and understands its importance.

Seems like you’ve forgotten the one 3D Sonic Game that DID showcase the speed of Sonic: Sonic ‘06.  Pretty much hated by everyone, and part of the reason is Sonic’s speed in 3D is often unplayable because no one really has the reflexes needed to dodge stuff at that speed.

So there was a sale at PSN and thus I got discounts for Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider Man.

One of my fond childhood memories is watching my brother play Sonic on the Master System and just disappear off the top of the screen in the first level, only to reappear at the very end, while the empty landscape scrolled by.

“What are you playing this weekend?”
