Even 7 years in the making, this has somehow escaped my attention until this very article. I’ll do some more research and almost certainly wait until I have more of my Steam backlog knocked down, but I’m always looking for more purely story-based games to experience.

This feels like it’s going to be last chance weekend for Outer Wilds. I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it so far, but it’s definitely one of those games that needs a longer play session and this is probably going to be the last shot for that for a bit. I’ve made it ... I guess pretty far. There’s only one

Just finishing up my Platinum on Control which I will probably get done this weekend. Then I am going to start on Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Just started playing Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. I had played the original version and loved every minute of it (even though the shooting mechanics aren’t the greatest). I think its such an underrated game. The world feels lived in, all of the streets are lined with people. It really does feel like a big city.

Finished Horizon: Zero Dawn over the last two weekends. I genuinely appreciated the attention given to fleshing out the story; as it turned out, how we got to robot animals was way more important than fighting said robots. In fact, my favorite parts of the game were wandering through caves & letting story recordings

This week I completed Luigi’s Mansion 3! Not much to add that I haven’t been saying for weeks -a funny game that constantly stayed clever. Here and there a concept wouldn’t land, which would lead to frustration, but because YMMV on what concepts land and what don’t I’ll chalk it up to me just not thinking clearly. The

Taking a break from Breath of the Wild and started up Ocarina of Time for the first time in forever. Almost completed the Forest Temple and I’m not sure how much further I want to go, since I already got my nice bite of nostalgia with everything already. I did request the HD version of Twilight Princess from the

Kentucky Route Zero has been the only game that I’ve sat down with my fiancé to play (she’s not much of a video game person, outside of Mario 3 or Mario World), taking turns reading dialogue as we advanced the story. So I may look into the TV edition to make it easier for the both of us to get through the whole thing

Very minor bit of gaming this week, nothing on PC/Console, not even my beloved Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I finally got around to playing The Witcher 3 DLC , and boy I’m falling back in hard. I did nothing but play The Witcher 3 when I broke up with my ex five years ago, so it’s kind of nostalgic but for a shitty time in my life haha. Anyways The Witcher is my favorite fantasy series for how much focus it places

Hello!

Salutations~!

I finished New Super Luigi U (NSMBU’s DLC) this past week and, well, it’s great! I found it a lot more enjoyable than the base game -which is a chill game and has some amazing levels- even if just because of the speed at which it all happens. It’s also more difficult than NSMBU, but nothing reaching Celeste-levels.

So I’m still on Monster Hunter World doing the Anniversary event stuff. Trying to take it easy since I sorta burned myself out on it a little in last year’s celebration, just getting the little gimmick doo-dads like the pretty shimmery cloth armor. Also ran the Witcher 3 tie-in quest which is quite tricky- naturally

On the docket for this weekend:

Now playing

So i got a Fallout 4 CD Key on Steam for like $5.99 and it’s the best value you can get in modern gaming especially now that Fallout 4's in a state where modding has eclipsed Skyrim in terms of potential, quality and quantity.

Thanks a lot!

I’d like to finish UPS Simulator 20XX (a.k.a. Death Stranding)... I’ve spent the last week+ just building up all the roads, getting the currently available shelters to 5 stars, and trying to make efficient zip lines. I just did the episode 7 fight... I’m not sure how close to the end I am... but if I quit messing

I picked up Kakarot and Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore because I have no self control on game buying, but Kakarot seems pretty fun so far. It’s not a deep RPG or anything but it is fun to see a minor character wandering in the wilderness and interact with them with a character that didn’t meet them in other media, and I

I’m going to start off talking about tabletop, since I managed to finally get in some Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition action. As I’ve mentioned before, we have a local gaming group Goblins & Growlers which does drop-ins and one-shots in breweries. Said one-shots do fit into an overarching narrative so it’s a semi
