So many games to work through, where do I start?

If Hitman 2 counts, I’m still doing the bonus material. I love it, but their roadmaps of extra stuff each month, combined with me being a completionist, mean that I can never truly be done with this game, and I’m starting to resent it. The updates are increasingly taking up my limited space, I’m deleting games I

I’m usually more disciplined than I’ve been in 2019, largely owing to buying a souped-up laptop and being reintroduced to “adequate for PC gaming” for the first time in over half a decade.

HELL YEH I’m tackling my backlog, specifically the 3Ds ones I never finished (that’s right we’re going portable, slay that backlog anywhere you go). This weekend I’m playing Pokemon Ultra Moon (nearing the end of the story run), still working through Professor Layton/Azran Something, and if I finish PUA in time, I’ve p

I mentioned it last week, but I am on a game-buying freeze until 3.5 games are beat: Jedi: Fallen Order, Luigi’s Mansion 3, KOTOR 2, and solid progress in Pillars of Eternity. Being almost done the first two, it’s not as ambitious as it sounds. I just have a problem focusing I guess.

I got royally pissed off by the boss Pain & Terror in Borderlands 3, so I set it aside a few weeks ago and haven’t been back to it yet.

Early last week, in the wake of some cash gifts for Christmas and a nice holiday bonus at work, I went and bought a new TV with HDR capability, so I’ve been on an HDR-capable games

I did a great job of putting a huge dent in my backlog last year, to the point that it feels less urgent and more like just playing video games again. Yes, I have nearly 50 games in my Steam backlog, a handful more on Switch, and a smaller handful of recent purchases for old systems, and a much smaller handful of games

Christmas games are taking my attention right now (not shockingly of course), Pokemon Sword is fun, Control is super weird and it feels like horror but it’s apparently just labeled as an action game, and Jedi Fallen Order is a lot harder than I expected but I suck at anything remotely Souls-y. I like Cal a lot though,

I’m going to start off 2020 by playing through the handful of games that really interest me that I have via PlayStation + because I’m not planning to renew when my membership ends. That list is pretty small anyway so I have three months to play Life is Strange 1, Tales from the Borderlands, Detroit: Become Human,

Playing through all the fire emblems on 3ds. Currently on Echoes which is pretty fantastic. PSA: Get a 3ds before they are all gone. Use craigslist and ebay or you may loose the ability to play some pretty sweet games. For one I loved the 3d effect and you cant really emulate that which is why you should pick up at

Since Xbox Game Pass everything is on my backlog ....

I am going to try my damnedest to finish Judgment, Prey, Red Dead II and Outer Worlds before I pick up anything new this year. But it’s been really hard since after two years I’ve just gotten back into the revamped Battlefront II.

So, I’m starting Dark Souls Remastered tomorrow. That being said, here’s my backlog, god help me.

I’ve had The Witcher 3 for PS4 for three years and have barely played it. I need to get that one off of my list.

I’m playing Horizon Zero Dawn. I already had about eight games in backlog, plus maybe half a dozen more unfinished games ... and then GameStop’s damnable B2G2 sale hit, and I had $60 in gift cards, so, I just added four to the backlog.

I finished up Dragon Age Inquisition and Titanfall 2 for the first time over the Holidays.

Working through VA-11 Hall-a and probably going to start Prey after that.

Also prepping for Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne on PC next week :D

I’m definitely focused on slaying my backlog this year. Right now, working on knocking out Doom and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I figure I need to knock out as much in January/February as possible so I have time in March - June for Final Fantasy VII, Nioh 2, Doom Eternal, Persona 5 Royal,Cyberpunk 2077, Avengers, and The

I’m trying to clear out some of the smaller games I started and never finished before moving on to maybe clearing some bigger ones. Last weekend I finished Gris and Iconoclasts, and this weekend I hope to finish up Echo. After that I might go back and finish Death Stranding or Lightning Returns, but more than likely

Got off to a great start on my backlog over the holidays, and finished both Undertale and What Remains of Edith Finch. (It helps that I’m focusing on short games - gotta give yourself an on-ramp!).

This year, hopefully in the next couple of months, I’m going to finish Prey. It’s so up my alley but I’ve restarted it like six times. I need to make myself get to the good stuff again, and not distract myself with other games.
