Brutal
The problem is that Borderlands 2 came out in 2012, and that’s a long time to go without any real evolution in its mechanics. -
I’ve been playing a whole bunch of things in little bite-sized chunks, instead of anything big and impressive.
Zero: Now see here, Goose. We can’t have you wrecking havoc on civilians behind enemy lines. You must complete your mission whilst maintaining the honor of the country you serve. A loose cannon mentality simply won’t do.
Agreed that once you rule out anthropomorphic characters (including Kirby and the like), you are right that few options are available - A Dog’s Life by Frontier Developments is a decent one on PS2.
Well, he’s 15, so the fact that he still talks to his parents at all is a victory at this point...
This was a week without Fire Emblem. Drink that in a bit. I’ll probably get back to it, but there were more important things on the burner.
Oh, I didn’t remember Jedi Outcast was out already on the switch.
Probably dive into Code Vein... and by “dive into” I mean:
Got Link’s Awakening, Untitled Goose Game, and Jedi Outcast on Switch that’s taken most of my game time (as well as a replay of Bully).
I’m surprised that you like the influencers. I haven’t played it, but based on trailers I suspect I’d find them even more annoying than Handsome Jack. But even if we both disagree about what’s annoying in B3, at least we can agree it still manages to annoy.
I feel like I played exactly enough of Borderlands and Borderlands 2 to meet my quota for the gameplay loop. And then there was a sale on all the Borderlands 2 DLC, and I said, “Sure, let’s do it!” and then, within minutes of gameplay, realized that, no, this wasn’t some kind of gameplay loop that I craved more the…
Playing astral chain, just beat file 3. That was a long one, missed 2 red cases and a blue case on that one too. This game started slow but file 3 really picked it up for me. I was kind of bummed after the first file, didn’t think the combat was great, but that’s changed now. I tend to do that; make a quick first…
I’m enjoying Borderlands 3 a whole heck (not part of the heck, the whole heck) of a lot. Each playable character mixes up the classes (sniper/infiltrator, brawler, soldier, crowd control) presented in the previous games and puts a new spin on the mechanics of the series. As a sequel, I think it’s pretty strong. It’s…
Gonna finish up Link’s Awakening this weekend and take a short break from games for a while. Next week I might rent Code Vein just to check it out and then Call of Duty comes out soon which my friend group says I’m contractually obligated to buy to maintain friendship
You know, you kind of hit the nail on the head as to why I didn’t get Borderlands 3. I really enjoyed the first. I pretty much enjoyed the second, but it was in that “pantheon” of games, like MGSV and ... pretty much every Elder Scrolls game ... where I never actually finished. I never beat Borderlands 2. I just sort…
Daemon X Machina had me sold when one of the trailers asked if you would become a god or a devil, just like in Mazinger Z. Unfortunately, too many other games have come out recently for me to pick it up yet, so it might end up being a birthday or Christmas game.
Shinigami has already gone through what makes Untitled Goose Game so great -it’s charming, it’s clever, the music cues accompany the gameplay oh-so-well- so I’ll refrain from gawking about it too much. It’s good. It’s fun (and hilarious). It’s also short and never overstays its welcome. Try it. It’s even better in bed.
