Video Games:

I thought Bernie was a little over the top. I mean she screams anytime someone talks to her. And then it happens over and over in every different support.

For some unexplained reason, I’m trying to play games on three fronts this weekend: I have Animal Crossing: New Leaf in my 3DS, and I’m cleaning up all the daggone flowers that have overrun my town as a result of that Keep the Town Beautiful ordinance. I did it to reduce picking weeds if I left the game for a month,

Well, it’s official. Fire Emblem has me all to itself right now. I’m about 22 hours in so far and still haven’t hit the thing that Sam alluded to (is that on par with everyone else?), but it’s been a blast with Golden Deer. It’s such an oddball group that seems to finally be hitting some level of cohesion. I’ve

Hey everyone, long time no see!

I finally beat Hollow Knight! I got the Void Heart, and defeated the Radiance after many, many tries. I didn’t do any of the Godmaster content, because I don’t like boss battles in general, and I think the boss battles in HK specifically are too long, but I’m feeling good about the 20+ hours I was able to get out of

Forcing myself to skip over the articles, re: Fire Emblem 3 Houses, as I’m forcing myself to make it through FE: Conquest before buying the bright & shiny new game. Struggled so much with my initial playthrough that I started over...I have kept hitting roadblock after roadblock with the game.

I honestly feel like Doom 3 would have been much more appreciated if it wasn’t called Doom 3, and was rather an adjacent/spin-off franchise. It doesn’t feel like a Doom game for much of the reasons you outline above, leaning too far into horror and away from action.

I’ve been slowly cutting my way through Fire Emblem 3 houses and it’s getting really hard. I’m pretty far into part two and I love where the story went. It really feels like my choices made a big impact on the world. I picked the Black Eagles and that house’s storyline is really interesting. That being said, I

This week in Tabletop Gaming, my wife and I had ordered Splendor and 7 Wonders from one of Amazon’s recent-ish board games sales, and we played a few games of the former (since it’s easier to pick up) with my son. We didn’t get the chance to play 7 Wonders, even though my wife says it’s one of her favorite board

I’ve been playing Three Houses pretty exclusively lately so I am very pleased this week’s article is all about Bernie. I also haven’t gotten to the thing that happens yet and I’m kinda dreading it, I almost wish there was a mode where I can just do school stuff endlessly without the drama (I think I might be too

This week in PC Gaming, I managed only about an hour or so due to a few other commitments. That hour was used entirely to play DC Universe Online. After finally getting through last week’s tutorial missions in Metropolis, I was introduced to the latest episode quest-chain, Justice League Dark by John Constantine. I

I have no qualms whatsoever trying to help Bernadetta thrive, which I will continue to do if I get some time to play Three Houses this weekend (it's a busy weekend).

Now playing

Alright, I’ll be honest. I know what I said. I know no one is guilting me but me. But I still didn’t play Witcher 3 this week.

Well, gulo is losing his job at the end of September, barring any changes I’m not aware of at this time. So while I’d love to get into new things like Okinaki at the end of the month, it’s time to go into full replay mode of stuff until fortunes change.

When I got my PS4 about 18 months ago, one of the first games I bought was GTA V. I had played GTA 1 in college with my friends, skipped 2, and seen but never played 3. After college, while living with some different friends, I lost my job for about a month and played Vice City with a moderate amount of obsession that

After getting inspired watching Dan Jones (PlayFrame, former host/creator of Extra Credits) play Hollow Knight, I decided it was time to dive back in and give it another try. Since it’s been awhile, I decided to start a fresh playthrough. So far, I’ve been surprised by how smoothly it’s gone—Hornet still took a lot of

Managed to recruit what I thought was every student on my first playthrough of 3 Houses (Black Eagles, church route - gotta get the fucking WILD rhea s-support, which I strongly advise folks to shoot for as one of the most genuinely bizarre lore dumps in FE history, which is saying something), then in my final
