Cod Black Ops 4 comes today! I’m pretty damn excited for multiple reasons. One of the first games I played with my girlfriend was Black Ops on the PS3. We played a lot of that game together. I also played a lot of it by myself. I’m honestly unsure how going back to the roots of that game with no jet packs or anything

I play games usually to unwind so the Safe Mode was incredibly tempting to me but I felt like it would kind of cut any tension at all that the game had. I am glad they included it though so more people can enjoy this game and the amount of work they put into the environments. The environments really are great.

Played just a little bit of Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines, which I actually picked up on GOG a while ago. Went through the questionnaire bit to create my character, ended up with a Nosferatu, so I may want to also have another run with someone who doesn’t instantly repulse everyone on the street. It’s not too

This weekend I will be playing Sea of Thieves and Destiny 2 - that’s right, it’s a Forsaken Shores / Forsaken weekend. I will be taking a short break from The Witcher 3, as I beat it last night! A spoiler discussion will be going under the “what games you have you finished this week”, so go there for my thoughts on

Prob gonna check out The World Ends with You on switch. I missed it the first time around on DS so it seems like a good time. I think I'll wait for Black Friday to get Black Ops 4 since a bunch of my friends are getting it and I always get a CoD itch around this time

Mostly playing the new WWE game’s story mode, which is pretty much WWE presents Tony Hawk’s Underground. It’s the best story mode in a WWE game in forever (admittedly a low bar to clear). The game seems alright otherwise, a little clunky in ring? I haven’t played much of the games this generation. The menus are

I was going to do so much gaming this week, playing a variety of things, but then I fired up the Magic: The Gathering: Arena Open Beta and my gaming time all mysteriously disappeared. I played enough games to earn 5,000 gold, which was enough to enter a Core 2019 draft tournament. I lost all 3 rounds, but got some

The only “Party” game I’ve ever played was Wii Party, and I feel like my family and friends are better off with more cerebral games like the You Don’t Know Jack series. We’re more “trivia/sitting around” people than “dice rolling/paddling a whitewater raft” people...we are Midwesterners after all...

I’ve had some good times with the Mario Party series. Times I’d love to recapture. But most people who I’d want to play with probably wouldn’t want to subject themselves to that again, I think.

Got paid today, so I think I’m going to pick up Megaquarium on Steam. I love aquariums, and it’s a criminally underserved niche even in the criminally underserved niche that is sim games.

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 all week for some reason, mainly because I got the game years ago when it was a paid thing (I understand it’s F2P now but you can upgrade to a Deluxe edition for the QOL stuff) and thought I might as well give it a go.

I’ve had a delightful week playing (and finishing the campaign mode) of a game I desperately wanted to get 17 years ago - Star Wars Rogue Squadron: Rogue Leader.

I’ll admit, what I’ve seen of Super Mario Party has been tempting, but not enough to get me to drop $60 on it. Talk to me when you’re ready to drop another Fortune Street, a game I unapologically played the shit out of years ago, and we may have a different outcome.

It’s an old game, but now that LA Noire is out for the Switch, I decided to give it a go and bought it yesterday. I’m not very far in, partially because I’ve restarted a bunch of cases when I realised how stupid I was being with regards to the clues, but I’m enjoying it a bunch so far, especially Ken Cosgrove as a

Salutations~!

Four friends walk into a game of Mario Party.

Played a bit of Mario Party over the last weekend. It was fun, but there HAS to be DLC coming, right? 4 boards is kind of a joke. I’d expect something similar to Mario Tennis will happen, but haven’t seen any news of forthcoming updates.

I’ve actually been really interested in this one, despite having never had any interest in playing Mario Party since I’ve been a “conscious” player of games (which was around the time the second one came out, and before a long history of playing Nintendo especially. It’s a big blind spot for me). I mean, I actually

Well, there’s a vast contingent of my wife’s family (parents, brother, various Canadian aunts/uncles/cousins) descending on our new house this weekend to check it out for the first time since we bought it in August, so I probably won’t get a lot of video game time in. But for next week, it’s probably:
