I’m getting the urge for some ol’ Guitar Hero/Rock Band action, so I’ll have to hunt around the basement this weekend and see if I can find the PS2 and the gear. I think it was around GH5 that I gave up on it and pretty much went exclusively Rock Band expert pro drums. Never did get RB4 and my precious drums have been

I unfortunately missed most of the seasonal festivities in Monster Hunter World (does Capcom not know when Halloween is?) but was at least able to get a nice costume for my Pallico. I’ve successfully hunted a Dodogama, too, and polished off some low rank investigations that I still needed to do to get materials.

Probably Destiny 2. It’s such a horrible Skinner box, the likes of which I haven’t played since the first Borderlands. When I’m playing it, I feel like what I imagine a smoker must feel like - I get occasional small highs but the overall experience when I’ve finished is basically unpleasant and empty. I hope to play

I recently had a health scare and ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks. I don’t update my social media very often, but my girlfriend kept people updated on Facebook. Everyone was asking what they could do. I joked that I don’t accept thoughts or prayers, but if anyone wanted to buy me a Switch, I’d accept that.

My girlfriend was over the other night, and she looked up from her magazine and said, “What’s an overwatch shot, and why do they make you swear so much?”

I’m still playing Xcom 2. I’m getting pretty close to the end and I’m wondering if I’ll enjoying playing through it again on a harder difficulty. Every time I start considering an Ironman run, I end up attracting the attentions of six or seven enemies as I move my last character into position with no moves left. Then

I’ve been playing a lot of PS2 games this week, the first Smackdown vs. Raw out of nostalgia for the PS2 WWE games in prep for 2K19 this weekend (I’ve decided that the Best Buy discount makes me feel a little better about being a sucker for a new release WWE game since I haven’t gotten a brand new one at launch since

I haven’t been playing much of anything since finishing Yakuza 0's story mode. I booted up Grand Theft Auto V once to rampage and found out there’s a working subway/light rail system in Los Santos that has stops and everything. I’ve probably put 50 hours into that game and just now found that. Wild.

I find Alternate Reality games/puzzles best when I can find them spontaneously, so unless I bought into this as a “Host a Murder” type adventure, then I don’t know that I’d be interested.

This weekend I’m playing Mega Man 11 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Both are extremely challenging! I finally managed to get through Fuse Man’s stage and defeat him. Can’t beat Impact Man despite my best efforts, and Bounce Man’s stage is extremely punishing. At least I got that sweet Block Man ability. And what

I started playing Castlevania Lords of Shadow and it's ok so far. There are some extremely janky God of War rip-off mechanics that just don't work but I like that the levels are short and pretty straightforward. I had to play on easy because the combat isn't the most precise thing but I think my tv is having response

Hello all! This week I continued my playthrough of The Witcher 3, finishing the Hearts of Stone DLC. It was a well-crafted story with some quality quests, and personally the best boss fight in the game so far. Red Dead is looming, so i’ll have to hurry up on this...(Spoilers will end at the end of this paragraph. If

Typing this on my phone, so please forgive the formatting or lack thereof (thanks, mobile Kinja!)

A couple of weeks ago my wife did a replay of Giving Birth, this time going down the “It’s a boy” route as a speed run (finishing up just over 3 hours from the “I think that was a contraction” prologue) on hardcore mode.

A good friend of mine bought me a copy of Divinity: Original Sin II —so I could co-op it with him— and we played that for about four hours last night. Now, I have played the first one a bit (maybe... 10 or so hours) and thought that was fine. However, the sequel has not got off to a great start for me. What an

I climbed the to the top of the mountain in Celeste. Pretty much one of the best platformers ever made I’d say. Spelunky is #1 for me and probably always will be unless Spelunky 2 somehow does it bigger and better, which I hope it does. But this definitely could easily fit as the #2 best platformer ever.

So my trip went smoothly, and though I didn’t get a lot of time in for playing, it was the first time I really used my Switch outside my home. And it was fun! Playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the small screen definitely isn’t as nice as on a TV, but it was fun (I should also note that outside of a bit of Mario + Rabbids,

My next several weeks (if not the rest of 2018 and possibly a good chunk of 2019 depending on DLC quality) will be consumed by Marvel’s Spider-Man and I’m ok with that

Not a goddamn thing, frustratingly enough. I miss playing games but lately I’ve been too busy.

Still enjoying the heck out of Yakuza Kiwami 2. Just reached the part where Kiryu discovers some pretty shady business involving body doubles. Now I need to go buy a bunch of healing items, because one of the main plot missions decimated my health.
