I’ve finished with Ys VIII and have moved on to Danganronpa.

What Have You Finished This Week?

I’ve been playing, for the first time, the original Deus Ex. I’m trying to do it by stealth and knockouts, but unfortunately I’m really bad at stealth games and so I’m finding it quite a slog. Also... the way I remember PS2 games was that their graphics were pretty good, but playing this now I can’t help but notice

My girlfriend got me a guitar and Rocksmith for Christmas. I’ve played around a dozen hours of it, and my index finger is very callused. I’m actually starting to get decent. I have a 96% mastery on Blitzkrieg Bop, and im slowly starting to master My Own Summer by Deftones. I think that over the weekend I can get My

Played a good amount of games over the holiday break. Haven’t played the past few days since the wife and I are in the hospital with the birth of our son! Everyone is happy and healthy and we’re going home today! I was going to bring my switch but decided I had more pressing responsibilities in the hospital. If

As much as I get how ugly the N64/PSX graphics are, it’s really nice to see a game actually try to explore it. With all the (S)NES nostalgia, I’d actually enjoy a return to exploration with early 3D game design. Plus, the main theme is pretty rockin’.

Salutations~!

Hey, thanks! Sorry I’m just seeing this now. I haven’t restarted just yet, but I’ll take a more measured approach to how I progress. In the end I just started a new game+ in the Witcher 3.

Enter the Gungeon continues to occupy my time and brainspace after a 5 month break. I was Boom Shaka over on the old AV Club boards, so Gerardi knows: that game is an obsession of mine. I FINALLY cleared out Frifle’s hunts and got the shortcut to the Fifth Floor. Really, the only tasks left in front of me are: beating

It’s been a while since I posted here, so good to see everyone! I’m most excited to finish Cuphead, because I’ve been at it for three months! I’m currently stuck on the pirate boss. This is truly the greatest endurance test of my gaming life, and in that way it lives up to the hype.

Now playing

Very kind of Matt to include my sleep-deprived ravings here. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was my favourite game this year by far but Mass Effect Andromeda is such a wonderful clusterfuck that it’s much more fun to talk about. Any game that lets you create a ridiculous main character that helps you rise above the

My backlog of games is so bad sometimes I’ll be in the Playstation Store and see a game I wanted to play only to see PURCHASED. Huh...I already own it.

For me, it’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I’ve dumped what feels like a ton of hours into it and I love it, but I don’t feel like I’ve even begun to pretend to imagine to scratch the surface of it. It’s just so huge that I keep taking breaks from it to play “quaint” little 40-hour games.

God bless Stew Bum.

Yeah, magic rules are definitely my weakest area in terms of DM Knowledge. It’s something I could definitely run better so that my lax approach isn’t taken advantage of. I definitely should have run it differently, but I’m still practicing my improving on the fly, so things will get better. In the past we haven’t used

Neir and Nioh.

This year, there were only two games I started that a) I’m not currently playing and b) didn’t finish. Those two are Gravity Rush Remastered and Binary Domain. The latter was a actually one of our Revue Club games, so I’m kind of embarrassed for not pushing through. I do intend to finish it at some point though. Same

My shame-pile consists of two titles: Tacoma and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The holiday weekend has already been earmarked for Hellblade, and I don’t know when I’ll be getting to Tacoma. My year-long love affair with Night in the Woods has sapped any spare interest in wandering spaces and observing conversations. I

Unfortunately, I pre-ordered the DLC from the flu a few months ago, so this week might be dominated by the flu: intestinal discomfort. Not a big fan of survival simulations, but it was part of the bundle.

Because Nier came out inbetween Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Persona 5, I had only a few days to get into it before being thrown back into 80 hour romps with both of those games sandwiching it. It’s haunted me ever since, after attempting to hop back into it once or twice.
