How does everyone feel about VR nowadays?

My pile of shame includes Dishonored 2 and Metal Gear Solid V, even though one was a gift and the other was free with PS+.

My pile of shame for 2017 is hard to even call that, since so much came out that some great games were bound to be left behind. In particular, I’d like to try out Night in the Woods, Hollow Knight, Everything, Cuphead, Tiny Metal (just released!), The Sexy Brutale, Rain World, Persona 5, and Ys VIII some day. It just

What I’m Playing

Man, the game I probably regret the most buying and not playing this year is Splatoon 2. And I love Splatoon 2, which is probably why it wounds me so. I played about 35 hours of it (basically to level 8 in game), and then Mario came out, and then I had Stardew Valley to tend to, and suddenly it was the holidays. I

I am finally making a concerted effort to play all of Majora’s Mask. I never played it on N64. I’ve had it for my 3DS for a while now and I’ve started it at least three times, usually making it through the first temple. Then I’ve taken a break and forgotten what I was doing and I’ve just gotten intimidated by the time

Now playing

Top of my shame pile is Dishonored 2. I bought on sale months ago and haven’t even opened the damn thing. I’d also like to play Nier sometime soon after hearing so many good things. And maybe Resident Evil 7. It’s weird, I’m not a huge RE fan but I played every main entry until I heard about the CoD-ification of 6. 7

Thanks to some great sales, I’ve gone from zero to 100 with my pile of shame. This year’s games include Prey, The Last Guardian and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Man there’s an entire system I’m ashamed I haven’t played yet because let’s be honest, The Switch is the real heir to the Gamecube’s throne. I want a Switch so bad but I still have a giant backlog of games for PS4 and that’s not including the amazing games I don’t even own yet!

I’m actually proud to say that my 2017 purchases really have no backlog. All of them have gotten played in some capacity. There are a few that I have to beat, but I was actually being very careful this year to only buy and play games that I knew I would have the time and money for. That being said, I didn’t exactly

D&D Update

I stubbornly insist on finishing the first Nier before I start Automata. So that’s what’s up as soon as I finish Ys VIII.

Resident Evil 7 just released some free new DLC, so it’s time to put the ol’ VR helmet back on and jump back into my pick for VR watershed moment of 2017, and GOTY!

So let’s see.. Not A Hero. Finished it last night, and it was... drumroll please......... fine. The caves were the least interesting part of the original

For me Darksiders 2, I should be done this game but BoTW came along and derailed it. Then after spending so much time on Zelda I went back to my PS4 for a while. Other games I have that I need to beat: star Fox, zombie-u, tomb raider. But with the Switch being opened Monday, I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot of

Nier: Automata is also in my pile of shame, although if you’ve genuinely given a game a good try and not taken to it I think ‘shame’ is a bit strong. I played a fair bit, but it just didn’t click. When I got to the bit with the robots living in the forest and found there was a womanising (robotising?) robot called ‘Mr

Salutations~!

What maybe should be in mine, but isn’t, is Horizon Zero Dawn; I only gave it a few hours and want to try it again, but it just wasn’t engaging for me after Zelda. Though there’s still a lot from this wonderful year I want to try: Resident Evil 7, Golf Story, Persona 5, Splatoon 2, Cuphead (a pipe dream; I don’t have

The 2017 Pile O’ Shame doesn’t have a lot of 2017 on it, since it’s been a weirdly productive year for me. The big one would have been Cuphead but I finally picked that one up during The Game Awards sale and have been playing it fairly regularly. I’m about a quarter of the way in and it’s shaping up pretty well.

Predator again.
