Here's the thing, and it's basic economics: the music industry was subject to a paradigm shift in media. That's it. Britney Spears, Metallica and Kiss all owned the music sphere until people could find their own original artists to which to listen.

@Anthony Cookman: It's not a giant escort quest. I've played half of it, and maybe a third (or less) of the game has you holding Trip's hand, carrying her on your back and tossing her to places. It's also not done in an annoyingly needy way, either.
