True Story: I learned animation techniques from one of the men who did key animation for the original. One of the gag drawings in his cube was an “Emotion chart” for He-man, that only showed one face.

And at least 3 times in the movie.

No no, that’s not it. Actually, young Bruce Wayne tried to shoot Zorro in the mask with a gun that shoots pearls, but he missed and accidentally shot Jack Napier who then went on to become Martha, Superman’s mother, after The Joker was drowned in a puddle by Thomas Wayne, his sister. It’s actually really very quite sim

On the contrary, I think a lot of fans of his films think about them for a long time. The Royal Tenenbaums remains in my top 5 favorite films ever because of its depth of characertization and humanistic portrayals of many different types of trauma and damage.

It literally looks like a parody of a Wes Anderson trailer produced by Funny Or Die or SNL.  It’s all fashion, and no substance.  And not nearly enough Cat Stevens on the soundtrack.

This movie and its creators deserve to be shit on for wading into serious political issues and coming out with nothing more than “extremism on both sides is bad,” when one side is literally nothing but extremism.

“It’s probably the most judged movie that’s ever existed that everyone who judged it hadn’t seen,” said Blum.

and they are mad at Obama for not “bringing the country together” and they keep sliding, or jumping, further right and demand the other side meet them in the new middle.

Just skipping all the live-action remakes of Disney animated features is working out pretty well for me so far.

They replaced Mushu the dragon with Cream Cheese Wonton the comedic feral cat.

There’s nothing I love more than being told by the media and bad faith right-wingers that we need “heal and come together” with a bunch of insane assholes who think climate change isn’t real, healthcare isn’t meant for poor losers, throwing terrified brown kids in cages is totally fine, and that things like laws and

The Hunt is a heightened, violent satire in which a group of wealthy liberals round up a bunch of “deplorables”—people who have shared extreme right-wing views online—with the intention of hunting and killing them. But they get more than they bargained for when one captive, played by GLOW’s Betty Gilpin, proves to

... extreme views on both sides ...

yeah. wonder woman was great until half way through the movie. after no mans land it was totally downhill

Someone has likely posted this here already, but I love the oft-repeated (probably apocryphal) story about how on the set of Marathon Man, Hoffman stayed up for three days to shoot a scene where his character had been up for the days. When he explained his process to Laurence Olivier, Olivier is said to have responded

The original Aeon Flux cartoons had a good take on that.

It’s The VVitch for the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crowd, which isn’t a bad thing in my book, but I still think it’ll end up feeling too slow and “boring” for most audiences. Like any good fairy tale, it has a lot of messages and themes that are aimed squarely at educating younger audiences--especially younger

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC INTERVIEW KATIE!

I loved the movie, and a HUGE part of it was her work.  It was so beautiful and entrancing.  Give her all the Oscars!!
