“It’s bizarre to the point of strangeness to be like “this ONE specific plot point is THE most important one.”

Well, there’s not a single exclamation point in my last post.  And if “paragraphs of text” equal a “rant” in your mind, you’re going to have a hell of a time in college.

Right, because I can explain the point I’M trying to make, and you seemingly can’t, I’m on a “rant.”

I agree with most of what you’re saying, but again: the problem is not that the plot was furthered by a contrivance, it’s that Infinity War existed to set up a single cliff hanger question: HOW WILL THE AVENGERS BEAT THANOS? For a year we all assumed it would be through some combination of their powers, their

Because I don’t think a critical discussion of a movie is a “dumbass conversation”?

And as someone who saw the movie cold as part of a sneak preview, it was SCARY AS SHIT.  Probably one of the scariest movies I ever experienced.

Interesting, but I fear that playing with the toy could make you as stupid as the protagonists in Midsommar.

In a word:  SERIOUSLY.

Geez, thanks Captain Future for your predictive diss.  Can’t we just enjoy the AMAZING SUCCESS she just achieved?

In a time when basically everything sucks, what a pleasure to see such a strong, confident and classy young woman do so well. Her parents seemed just as charming--watching her win was one of the best things about the holiday week.

It’s a big day for you.

No, I’m complaining that the story in Endgame was a contrived mess that yielded the totally unbelievable reality in which Spiderman has to operate. The story in Spider Man is set EIGHT MONTHS after the snap was undone. By that timetable, Peter and his friends started a new school year literally a week or two after

It’s just awfully convenient—some might say contrived—that they not only towed the van, but towed it to a secure storage facility. Why, if literally half of all vehicles are now abandoned, would the van be of any value to anyone such that they would need to lock it away? And it’s not just any storage facility—this one

Is he the Joker?

No, I read the script. And agreed that my use of “troubled by it” was wrong, the characters are mildly troubled by it.  But not troubled enough to LEAVE, which strains credulity past the breaking point, for me.  That they continue to sip the tea and wait to see what happens next are nails in the coffin.

Nope.  I’m not watching Spiderman because the internal logic of the movie, as taken from Endgame, is absurd.  You’ll appreciate that, like the Joker, Spiderman is a fictional character that does not exist in the real world.

It was on the top story of a parking garage, not in the middle of the street.

I look forward to the sequel, “The Pompitous of Love”

“What actually happened”?

Yes, my favorite part of any iconic character is who they were before they became the iconic character.  That’s why Hayden Christensen is so riveting in the Star Wars prequels.
