The Meg is a fun idea, but the shark looks so ridiculously bogus there is zero chance I’d pay to see it.  They can make photo-realistic talking Apes; they can’t make a realistic bigger shark?

Pace, Madison, Ariel, Sophia . . .

Some babies are easier than others, but I’m with you: we went to the Swiss Alps for Christmas when our daughter was 2 months old, and it was a snap. It’s actually easier to fly when they’re that young (cause they sleep the whole time, and they let you put them in that sardine can that attaches to the airplane wall),

The old “we need to appeal more to racist sexists,” yeah? I mean, when you say “we’re definitely not ready for a female President yet,” who’s the “we”?

Right, which is why we’d all do better to stop raising it. “IF OBAMA HAD DONE X, YOU REPUBLICANS WOULD BE DOING Y!!”

Sorry, but wrong interior, so no dice. If there were the stairs we could pose on, and dad’s architecture studio off the side, and the kitchen with Alice, and the TV room, and the bunkbeds/shared bathroom upstairs, MAYBE.

I appreciate you.

It’s funny you should mention that. Disney has a prohibition on its patrons wearing lewd or offensive shirts, but somehow allows people to wear pro-NRA and pro-gun shirts into the parks. We were at Disneyland in April and saw a guy wearing a shirt similar to what you described, and my wife laid into him just as he was

As a white man I can tell you: YEP! That’s exactly what it is. Trumpians are sad, dejected white men who can’t stand to see even one non-white or non-man get even an iota of power. And unfortunately assholes like them have crafted the rules for the past EVER to give them the upper hand, enabling them to LEGALLY do

Do this with next-level motion capture and make them look like photo-realistic CATS and it could actually be good.

Rampage was perfectly fine kaiju action, competent, entertaining, relatively forgettable. Compared to Pacific Rim: Uprising, it was Lawrence of goddamned Arabia.

Well done.  And let me respond by explaining that in internet culture, hyperbole is both allowed and encouraged, with the most hyperbolic statements often considered to be humorous.  So, with that in mind, please die in a fire.

It’s not like FF had epic amps or something, it’s just that the stages are too close together and Massive Attack, if you don’t know them, have very sonically spacious music--there’s lots of “quiet” in what they do.  During the moving downbeat parts of their set, everyone in the crowd would have been hearing FF.

Welcome to America.

“They don’t deserve . . . living in free society.”

La La Land represents some insane Hollywood psychosis.  The movie isn’t a good musical; it isn’t a particularly good movie.  I guess it makes a point, or something, but I saw it in the theater, excited, and would stab myself in the eye before watching it again.

Middle School is the most amazing place because you can do something objectively cool, or no big deal, but depending upon your social status; etc., that thing can become the ultimate faux pas that haunts you for the rest of your life.

Did he steal these tracks the way he stole this is America?  Cause that shit was BLATANT.

Didn’t read the source article, but am I right to assume she was white?

Well said. It was also an era when singer/songwriters were greatly valued, AND there was still money in the music business, so you had hundreds of artists getting paid to write the best pop songs they could.
