*rubs eyes* I’m seein’ undecuple: Eleven complains about duplicate posts!

I appreciated that they walked the line. It would have been easy to make him a mustache twirling villain, but I thought they humanized him well in some ways even if he couldn’t see his wrong doing.

I can’t believe that the monster of the week was Nibbler.

Remember when a leader of the US speaking in coherent sentences was a given?

MST3K is the gift that keeps on giving for references. I was watching Beginning of the End today, and I watched it when it was first run. There’s a car overturned at one point, and Tom says: “Ms. Mansfield?”

The first episode I ever saw, Lorelai is ranting about her mother: “I think I’m getting through to her, but it’s all ‘blah blah blah Ginger’!” I became an instant fan.

Now playing

MST3K is pretty much all pop culture references, but my all-time favorite Midwestern shout-out they do is to Menard’s:

One of my all time favs goes, unsurprisingly, to The Simpsons:

I mean, at least he’s very clearly labeled “Poison.”

Here dog, c’mon dog, me and dog want you to go to Tel-e-graph Road, right now, get a good deal

That’s real good, but needs improvement.

I’m from Chicago.

I thought Shakespeare In Love was the better movie honestly. Excellent writing, acting and directing all around. Saving Private Ryan is a couple jaw-dropping, genre redefining sequences strung together by an unremarkable script.

Left-handed beef is rare. Sinisteer are hard to find.

Plum jam and farmer’s cheese. Rosehip jam for special occasions.  Cherry or blueberry, in a pinch.

Seeing Bernsen’s conservative filmography always amuses me for remembering probably one of his higher profile appearances last year was his guest spot on the ep of American Gods that played a major broadside towards conservative American culture, in particular its almost cult-like reverence for firearms.

my dad didn’t watch much tv or many movies but one evening at dinner he told us he had seen an interesting movie on tv that afternoon called “the jerk.” as he started to describe it, we realized he had actually watched “conan the barbarian” - the tv guide listing was wrong. when we laughingly asked him if he hadn’t
