So you changed your car’s oil at the recommended 3000 miles and your car will not start because you did it at Oil Can Henry’s or Jiffy Lube instead of your dealer.... after a Navigation system update.
Have you actually gotten a phone repaired at a third party repair center? They’re hardly dodgy. In addition to replacing two screens myself, every repair shop I’ve used has been clean, professional, can replace a screen in 20 minutes, and are much cheaper than the apple store.
