I spend about half of my time in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and let me say - this is by far the worst natural disaster that region - and possibly the entire country - has ever seen. The footage from the Brazilian media outlets (mainly OGlobo.com) have been horrifying.

The real news would be if there's anything at CES that's true, that works, and that isn't vaporware. No one seems to be covering those stories.
