"Once you do that, restart and if you're not in safe mode anymore the problem has been solved."

Works like a charm, too.

This is an old trick used for guitars to fix the screw that holds the strap nut on. Works fairly well depending on how it's being used; works great on guitars for that use, but I'd think it would come apart faster on a cupboard or the like.

If your internet connection is slow enough to be slowed by that much data, you're probably not going to be surfing the internet anyway.

@CKTofu: My grandmother's had these at her house for years.

@tylerbrainerd: I'd love to switch out my amp with a tube amp; never done much in big shows though, so I've never minded the little toy amp I have. :P

@tylerbrainerd: As cool as the iPhone guitar setups are, I still like being able to turn effects on and off mid-song with my feet. You know, instead of with the hands I'm playing the guitar with...

I'm glad I can do this already with Activator. :P

A note on the ear buds, for those who hate the iPhone earphones but still want the mic+remote, the buds come off very easily with a pair of needle-nose pliers or a sturdy pair of tweezers. Find another pair you like, solder the better buds onto the apple cabling, and you're done. I use Sony h.Ear headphones with them,

Yes, stick your hand in the light.

@BPhillips21: Of course it would be too difficult for them to enable it on a 3GS, or a 3G... right?

My family watches maybe one DVD a week from them, but we've basically stopped using cable TV in favor of watching shows on instant.

I can't say as I'm disappointed by tethering. I've been using my laptop at work for some development, and since I'm not using an "official company machine," I can't be let onto the network, so tethering it is. The iPad lasts all day fairly well running MyWi 4.0. :)

@Netscott: My only issue with that video is that Chief doesn't die at the end. Guess he didn't make it through on legendary before making the vid. :/

@Lupus_Yonderboy: I think I'd rather get some big ass-ports than big-ass ports. ;P

@Tyrunn: As much as I want to disagree, I just spent 50+ hours redesigning an interface for the same reason. I'd just assume use the DOS prompt, and everyone else is whining that it's not shiny enough.

@im2fools: Do I also have to have a control group to get pudding?

I was made painfully aware of this last week in Tennessee... I got back home and my friends were telling stories about how they'd hear nothing from me and then get five texts a piece all at once.

@Edward Cheung: Not really. A generally good signal is about -50, and you won't get much better than that.
