It starts to late in the year - I’d be surprised if more than one episode had aired before they put together their ballots.  It’s a reason I hate seeing year end stuff before the year is actually over.

Why doesn’t The Expanse get more love? It’s so, so great

Sad lament for The Expanse: it could never catch a break on these end-of-the-year lists because its seasons largely began in mid-December and ran into February (at its longest). It was always either too early to include, or too old to remember. Don’t know where this final arc will land within the show's run. I think…

IV has been reviewing all those C- films all year for you, and this could’ve been the opportunity to show his favorites.

Can’t really argue with most of these, although the number one is surprising. I very much enjoyed The French Dispatch, but it’s outside my top 25 of the year, and is at best in the middle of my personal Wes Anderson rankings. Maybe it’s just because we’ve been so spoiled for movies. 2021 has been an amazing film year.…

Nowadays?

They are all grieving the loss of Alex right now, and it’s clear that Naomi is in a really bad place... watching her ex and her son kill millions and millions of people, after all her efforts to stop them fell short, was enough to crush her. She’s also at war with her own people now.

It’s not really about Peaches or Amos. Well it might be a little about Peaches, but that is more tied to her fear of losing Holden… and the fact that she once tried to kill him. Naomi still carries the guilt over Alex’s death. She is also finding it difficult to reconcile killing fellow Belters.
