@TheHeeyyy: Meh. The Half-Life games get the M rating because they're shooters, but really, those games are very tame on adult content. Half-Life games get mature points across without being vulgar about it.

@Rictor: ... jealous that your dad isn't Peter Molyneux.

This is surprisingly really cute. One of the first videos that I have seen of Peter Molyneux where he doesn't seem like a PR machine for his games... and it's cute when the kid says that Valve makes good games, but his dad also makes good games.

The hate on these games is obvious: their announcements on your Facebook feed. It's the same reason people hate on Foursquare... because meaningless announcements are made on your social feeds.

This is entirely true. While going to games is fun, I really enjoy sitting at home, having all of my friends over and going nuts with NFL Sunday Ticket and our fantasy teams. Sundays are freaking awesome during the NFL season... my favorite day.

@Agagulba: I typed that before reading the last sentence, and so now I feel like an asshole. :(

@blyan-reloaded: This suggests that Giz would actually run a story that is negative to Steve Jobs.

@lozerette: Sure, utilities are more important than just "stuff," but there is something to the idea of giving somebody something that they wouldn't already get for themselves... Ie, when you get engaged to someone, you give them a ring, maybe it costs a few thousand dollars or something. Now, sure, you could

Mangold got hurt in the game this weekend. I blame:

@xir0: Vancouver yes, Toronto, London, no. I was sort of speaking fascetiously, not getting the actual demographic makeup of cities... but just that these traditionally progressive cities are usually those with the clearest cut divisions on diversity.

I am glad that it says "Almost" because when I receive a gift, I would rather receive a gift card than cash. The reason is my own motivations: When somebody is giving a gift, they want you to spend it on something special, not something mundane. If somebody gave me $40 for Christmas and I went and used it to fill

@wagedomain: You haven't heard of the new Cape Cod / Jersey Shore-knockoff show being put out by MTV this summer.... "My Wicked Summah" or whatever it's going to be called. Young, white, Cape Cod public-employees-children gone wild.

Hm. Terry Pratchett has been knighted? I had no idea.

@The Lab: Generally, southern cities are considered much better integrated than those in the North, especially North East. Compare Atlanta's wide scattering to Boston & New York's nearly razor precise race lines. I've always found humor in our misplaced conceptions, the idea that us Bostonians and Northerners are so

@Loljob: I've lived in a city my whole life, but as far as I know, remote areas you can see a full sky of stars, although I Don't know if it's like that.

man I wish that I could see stars like that around where I live.

I thought that the image was really elitist, but that video perfectly balances it out

Pretty neat, but few full-size fridges have grates like that anymore :(

@ericesque: I'm posting because your addiction to self-righteousness is fun to watch. Relax, it's okay to be wrong sometimes.
