Not to mention, the PS3's games ... for whatever reason .. are still full priced or high priced year+ after being released. I have a $20 gift card to Target and I'm looking to pick up another PS3 game, besides MLB '09, and ... hell, NBA '07 is still $30. Almost every big name game for the console is $60.

Very smart for EA to do that. While many non-sports-gamers will say that the football/basketball/baseball games should do the same, it really makes sense for Boxing and MMA, which don't have the market appeal, nor the actual changes to the sport, to warrant a new title.
