It’s all a matter of timing: Star Wars is set as if the inventon of spacecraft were as old to them as the invention of motor carriages are to someone in Star Trek.

People see spaceships, robots and lasers and think that’s science fiction but it’s not. It’s not even the ‘clothes’. Science Fiction doesn’t need any of those in order to work.

If anything, Star Wars already is fantasy, there’s there is no connection to the real world.

Following the 2008 primaries, I think Hillary is more likely Gandalf the White. She fell, it looked like she was dead (politically), she came back shinier and newer, a little less trusting and a bit more likely to snap at you. Also, no fucks left to give.

It got Sotamayor and Kagan (KAGAN!) appointed. It promotes marriage equality, abortion rights, racial equality, feminism, and a social safety net.
