By being skeptical, you’re asking the right questions. This is how people will come up with good uses for this technology. For a laptop, you would roll the screen out, then rotate it and mount it on the laptop. It’s height would be limited to the laptop’s width.
I think that it’s a new discussion in a broader context. Obviously, as Aiwaz418 pointed out, rape has been present in literature for ages. The discussions of rape in literature in previous generations (and civilizations) have had dramatically different outcomes (like in Greek mythology).
I think that it’s the serial use of it in a major current media franchise.

I could only get limited FCBD options and missed this, but this looks like Ultimate Marvel fighting 616 Marvel, to me.
I’m about 2/3 of the way through and I realize that if there are answers, they’ll be too rushed. It’s a trilogy, so there’s time. I’m enjoying it enough to live without answers, although I’m concerned about what I’ve heard about the second book. I’ll probably try it, anyway.
That is very disappointing to hear. I’m a little over half way through the first book and while I don’t know what’s going on, I was excited for more.
