Just finished the second one. They create a very expansive universe in a short time. The main character is essentially the AI mind of a ship which usually has thousands of bodies, trapped in a single body.

What's odd about this is that the first two lines are from two actual (not terribly funny) jokes, followed by a non-sequiter punchline. But the drink is called "Brian" if anyone is wondering.
