I guess we could pit their short lifespan against my short attention span. Someone feed me to the octopus.

From wikipedia, some post rationalization:
Does an octopus's short life-span justify this in any way? I read that this is why they have not developed material culture, but I cannot remember the source.
A report from Film Divider claims that the current plan is for the show to be tied into the movie franchise, and that Quicksilver, Multiple Man, and a female character have all been kicked around as possible lead characters.
Omitting them from the first poster. They'll probably be in the story.
It's just the first promotional image. The X-men will be there.
I'm sure they'll be involved, even if they're not in the promotional materials (at first)
I don't think that Marvel can avoid involving them in it. They're just not promoting it.
Spider-Men was such a great way to see how Peter and Miles are reflections of each other. I would love to see more of it. Plus, they should fight (I kid, don't kill me)
You've said it perfectly. The only other thing I'd add is that Peter Parker's death is a huge part of his life as a hero.
Civil War is kind of my exact bad example. They had to twist too many characters' motivations. Secret Invasion managed all the same suspicion and conflict, but allowed the real nature of the characters to remain (without real battles between heroes, for the most part).
Classic Thor didn't have a beard...
Conflict between heroes is interesting, because the person in the right is debatable, if it's well written. It also gives readers a chance to see the official gauge of power levels. I'll admit that I think it gets used a little too much, but I see the draw.
But his character was clear. His mastery was shown and his death was demonstrably in part a character decision. Qui-Gon's only character motivation is to train Anakin, which is almost shoe-horned, as the original trilogy has established Anakin's training as Obi-Wan's provenance.
The vampire finch, which allows the surviving members of humanity to determine that they are on the island of Santa Rosalia in Galapagos, by Kurt Vonnegut!
Good insight on the hermit disguise. Maybe they can launch from there. I'd like to see Qui-Gon's role as more of an idea to Obi-Wan than something that he can perceive, at first. Then, as his mastery grows, maybe Qui-Gon could come into focus.
Love this! The thing is, we can't assume a small number of villains, here!
Could he hide his costume in there? Not really, but in the comics...
It's the Flash. He might hide his costume in there!
Quicksilver got his start as a villain, though.
