Fresno Grizzlies, the AAA affiliate for my Washington Nationals.

Good point, Kevin!

This is one of those stories where you can see the world becoming a worse place in real time. Can’t wait until someone in my hometown DC decides they can do what this asshole did, too.

I can pinpoint the exact moment I flipped sides...

It’s a neat thing that’s happened ever since the NBA instituted replay - in the last two minutes the “out of bounds instead of a foul” call evaporated from the NBA. And by “it’s a neat thing” I mean “it’s ripped a hole in the way the last two minutes are refereed, actively slowed the games to a crawl, and turned every

If it happened on every game, eventually fans would accept that sports are determined by rules, made by imperfect legislators, meted forth by imperfect arbiters. And, in a testament to the resiliency of the human spirit, they would get over it.

We replaced Bryce (0.3 WAR this year, 1.3 WAR last year) with Victor Robles (0.7 WAR this year).

All fair points. I just know that in what is basically now a salary-capped sport (dont @ me. Just look at the payrolls around baseball vis a vis the luxury tax line) I’m not interested in paying $330M over 13 yrs for the right to see what those next 13 seasons look like from Bryce. He may have 2 or 3 MVP seasons in

Um, why would the Braves or Mets fans care? He’s still in the division... and on a better team to boot (if you believe he’s talented, and affects winning... ... ...)

Slumps happen to even the best players, and should be forgiven, but there’s a difference between watching a guy repeatedly go 0-for while hitting the ball into the defense and watching a guy strike out multiple times per game.

Wizards fan here... Hi!

Still would have done it, though.

That’s when I knew the Rockets weren’t serious about winning. When Eric Gordon was ready to blame his failure to convert a 2-on-0 fast break into a bucket on ANYONE other than himself, I knew the Rockets didn’t show up to win a basketball game tonight.

I think he’d get Kanter, because he played for the Knicks. Great work, otherwise.

The thing that always bothered me about the Celtics was how *inevitable* their championship window was for everyone who ever started talking about the Celtics “assets”.

A bunch of MAGA shitbrains *and other members of your team.*

So we’re gonna hold Bryce Harper leaving against the Nats, even though his replacement (Victor Robles) is already 0.6 WAR ahead of him this season, and over halfway to Bryce’s 2018 total in just 30 games?

Kay Kay Renee? Really, though?

2016-17 they lost to the Wizards. As a Wizards fan, I can tell you in that series the Hawks were superior to my team.
