I'm just really sick of people crying "CENSORSHIP" when talking about someone complaining about something they don't agree with.

NOTHING CAN STOP THE JUGGERNAUT NOT EVEN MASSIVE SANDWICHES

No one is calling for censorship when they say "This shouldn't have been made." No one is calling for a boycott or going to Boom and demanding they fire people or saying that Waid should be censured. They're saying "this shouldn't have been made."

I was mainly trying to emphasize that those issues are buried in the midst of a massive run that few people read all of.

Meh.

I'd love for Chen to do another issue. I'd even be ok with them switching off if that's what needed to happen.

I didn't link to the article but I vastly agree with it and I certainly don't believe that advocating for change is calling for censorship or telling someone they can't tell a story.

Yeah the last time Marvel marketed a sidekick like this was Alpha and he was in Spider-Man for what? 6 issues?

Blame DeCarlo for that. He really started the slide towards making Betty and Veronica start to look like the same girl with different hair.

Obviously, no one is stopping Waid from telling this story. I personally don't think he should tell it and, as such, I didn't buy the comic. I think that's all people are advocating for and I hate the idea that because he's telling this story, maybe someone who has a better perspective on the issue isn't getting to

You've summed it up better than I have. It's not that these perspectives can't be good it's that the perspective of white people on racism is often the only perspective we get.

Maybe but I get kind of sick of having this dismissive argument week after week.

That's fair. He's certainly had Twitter freakouts over less.

Batman straight up saying he wouldn't stop someone from killing Joe Chill is still haunting my thoughts.

First off, for God's sake, don't assume you know what I'm referring to. Don't ever act like you "agree" with my comment that you're misusing to suit your argument. You should be better than that.

It's a great story at least partially because we so rarely hear Lor-El or Ma Kent's side of the story. That change in perspective really allows Pak to tell an entirely new story and he does it incredibly well.

He does it well. Pak really does get Superman's relationship with various female characters well. One of his best lines is in a almost throwaway comic, in Secret Origins #1, Lor-El, sending Kal off in the rocket, unsure who or what he will find says, "Let me tell you a lie that I hope is true. You will be loved."

There are context clues in the comic as to what happened but it's little more than "Montoya talked to Two-Face when he was in jail and he misinterpreted things." That's all. One can argue that this somehow sells how crazy Dent has become but that's not even half (pardon the pun) the story. The actual meetings between

This is a frustratingly stupid comment.

I'm usually stoically against dual narration but Pak has a knack for it and he pulls it off in Action Comics with aplomb.
