Lived in 3 different cities throughout my life

2 years ago when I rented a Volvo wagon from Enterprise in LAX for a LA/LV trip. Final night at LV I got rear ended by some kid that are too busy paying attention at the rental Ferrari F458 revving beside him. Followed the Enterprise policy, got the kid’s information and a police report proving my innocent. Back to

Ah I thought it was me. Cause I was wondering why does the transmission shift funny for a fairly new car. I was getting the worn bushings shifting feel the whole time. I thought it was my driving.

My friend has an auto BRZ and a CVT WRX on his driveway.....

I had the same issue with the new WRX. Had the chance to drive one for 2 days around town doing my usual stuff. I believe it has to do with the seating position. Honestly I think the stock seat position work well for stuff like CVT Crosstrek or Forester, but definitely not the WRX. I get weird cramps for my left legaft

Fun facts: The happens on 410/407 area which is Brampton, Ont. Brampton, Ont is one of the cities that has highest insurance rates in the country. That should explains something!

Not just HOA issue. My city has a weird by-law that prohibit abandoned/unplated vehicles to be parked on the driveway (It a very vague law but it definitely there). At one point I had 2 unplated vehicles at home when I had to park them on my driveway due to house renovation. I actually received 2 tickets from the city

I volunteer occasionally for a local lapping day. Can confirm there are far too many of these type of idiots out there. Dozed off or skipped the driver meetings thinking they know everything. And then get mad when they did all the no-no, get black flagged and kicked out for the rest of the day.

Totally agree. Had mine for almost 4 years now. First 3 years it was my sole DD and I definitely enjoyed every moment with it (And proving everyone that DD-ing a FRS in Canada is totally doable). My only complaint is the low end torque and lack of cargo space (Yes I am aware I am not buying a FRS for those).

8 years ago: I can’t drive / jog in my area without seeing at least 1 G35/G37 running around.

Had one of those as rental 10 years ago when my dd is in the shop. Definitely one of the worst cars I have ever driven. CVT constantly go “ARE YOU SURE BRO?” before it crawl forward SLOWLY. The interior quality and plastic definitely feel like it was made in 90s despite being a 09 model. The trunk space is a joke as a

Owning an exotic does not require to live in a fancy house. My old neighbour (I live in an average priced townhouse in suburb Toronto) owns a 997.2 GT3 and a fully loaded Audi Q7, and he daily the hell out of the GT3 in summer.

First impression: This is probably one of the dumbest things I had ever seen.

Can confirm. I have a buddy that just has a new born baby recently (Both him and his wife have bad credits, mountain of debts, paying rents, etc). He decided the logic thing is upgrading his current 8 years old Civic Si coupe with liens for a brand new Civic Type R for “practicality reasons”. I told him not to do it.

This. Exactly This!

A more usable torque curve, so I don’t have to downshift 2 gears just to overtake on highway......

Can confirm that. My 10 years old Honda DD windshield replacement cost me $300 CAD, while my mom’s friend has to pay $1000+ CADto replace the windshield on his Q7.

I stanced my car once. It was late 2000s when the stance craze was just starting to hit the car scene. Being an university student with extra cash, loads of free time in summer, and access to discounted parts (I worked at aftermarket industry at the time), I decided to try it out and see what the fuss is all about.

My local Audi dealer offered me a nice discount on my factory order 2019 Audi S3. So its definitely doable!

Car is still being made at the moment, haven’t receive it yet. However, my local dealer let me keep a demo overnight for test drive. It drive pretty nice compared to other Audis in my opinion (Had 2 A4s and 1 Q5 in my family). The car feels alot more energetic and peppy around town compared to the bloated A4/A5/S4.
