This degree of intolerance and animosity towards people for having a different faith than you is disturbing. There’s also a fair bit of irony in how similar your viewpoint is to that of a religious extremist towards people of other faiths or atheists.

If the dealer is so shameless as to charge $2495 for “MAINTENACE”, they could at least take time to spell the word correctly on the contract.

Great article. If someone wants to honestly compare laptimes, it makes a lot more sense to use those from magazines like MT and CD that use set procedures for each car and that don’t have any blatant interest in any particular car winning. Their testing isn’t perfect, but it’s miles better than trusting biased

On the street, a Bugatti Veyron parked along Champs-Elysees. I also saw a gorgeous antique Ford GT40 at a track day a few years ago.

I think it’d make more sense to base it off driving record instead of age. So if you’ve had a reckless driving ticket (or 3+ speeding tickets) within the past 3 years, you’re restricted from driving 300+ hp cars. This way people who’ve demonstrated they drive fast/dangerously on public roads are the ones with

Not bad but wish they had done more with that interior.

Agree the R8 looked like a TT that was elongated in the mid-section to accommodate the engine. The sideblade was where they added length. Pictures do it no justice but actually looks pretty good in person.

Exactly this.

Probably your brake pads dragging a bit. When I’ve got got track pads on my car, I can hear a slight squeal rolling through slow turns off the brakes. It goes away whenever I change back to street pads.

I like driving, but tried taking the subway to work a few times and ended up enjoying it more than expected. It’s fairly stress-free and you can catch up on sleep/reading. The only times it sucked were when working late (trains run less frequently after rush hour) or when the subway had delays/issues. Definitely

Tiff is like the British version of Randy Pobst. Both are superbly entertaining if not goofy, and both are somehow getting funnier with age. Great driving talent as well, fun watching them let loose on track.

So you’re basically paying for Mercerdes’ entry level car except you don’t get the MB badging. Have to ask then what’s the point?

I always questioned whether the “Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday” approach worked. I’m probably in the target audience for that kind of marketing, but seeing a Ford GT win its class at Le Mans or Audi lead team points in DTM doesn’t make me want to buy a Ford or Audi product. Admittedly Nissan wasn’t winning much so it

Great pictures - just looking at them made me feel claustrophobic. My 2-car garage suddenly feels a little bigger.

Really sad news - always hate hearing about fatalities at the track. I’ve thought about doing the instructor clinic at one of the organizations I track with, but stories like this give me pause. You could be a great instructor and driver, but at the end of the day you’re putting your trust (and potentially life) in

I think it’s heavily dependent on the organization putting together the event. I’ve been to some events where the track day rules were strict, instructors were properly trained/vetted, and everything from tech inspections to classrooms was run in a no-nonsense manner (BMW CCA comes to mind and I’ve heard PCA is even

Now playing

They should have done something similar to this commercial (doing routine errands in a BRZ).

The Toyobarus are grin-inducing RWD corner carvers, but highway driving isn’t their forte. Road noise, firm suspension, quick steering and low torque make them less than ideal for low-effort highway miles. If Brian wants a comfortable highway car that’s still sporty/compact, I’d highly recommend a MK6 GTI Autobahn.

Interesting topic. I’ve definitely gotten annoyed at teammates for picking Widow, especially if (1) the rest of the team has already picked and we clearly need a healer or tank in the last slot but the guy picks Widow, and (2) we end up losing. Instead of being hell-bent on picking one character, it’s usually better

Sounds glorious from the outside but more tame than expected inside. Still an epic build. Love how he says the tires are done and his pit crew on-hand gets busy throwing on a fresh set. Need that for my next track day lol.
