It’s almost like there is some “invisible hand” reacting to supply and demand. Crazy.

The only people still calling Chicago affordable are recent transplants from either coast” So, like where the cities that employ people are? It’s striking to me that Chicago is still so affordable for a city of that size, density and amenities. But yes, you’re more expensive than Houston.

Have to say I’m a bit disappointed. The first Creed featured lots of big name professional boxers. This guy is a real boxer, but not noteworthy (like Tony Bellew, the villain in the first one). Too bad, because there are tons of great Eastern European boxers right now - guess they couldn’t find one that could act.

Right, as if all boxing movies aren’t derivative /s

Yes, I made this comment as well, but it got deleted. If the “conversation has been edited for length and clarity” you’d think they’d fix that before expunging folks correcting them.

Sometimes I just want a supposed “journalist” who knows the difference between gambit and gamut.

Love Jon Ronson (and that podcast - I hope he does more in that medium).

I don’t understand how she hasn’t been a Silicon Valley plot line yet.

Come on, just let this person virtue signal that they use Lyft so are a better human being.

Hey, hey. My pets.com stock is going to be huge some day.

Also, who jokes about this shit?! As president?! It’s like the person who thinks a bomb joke is funny on an airplane. (Yes, I know he wasn’t joking)

This guy has been on my radar as a scumbag for 20 years. Back when I was in college he and Bob Sagat would go to the local Tuesday dollar pint night and skeeze on college-aged girls (Sagat was the oldest person in the bar by a good stretch). This was post-singled out, pre-his surprising second act, and he was super

Might have noticed it won 9 Academy Awards, including best animated film and best song as well.

I also grew up around avocados. In fact, I did a high school Rotary internship in an avocado packaging plant owned by the local avocado growers collective. I, and everyone I’ve known there, do the cut in half, knife whack to pit, and twist. Somehow never injured... yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now I’m confused. Isn’t this what people are referring to with the knife method (which Iuse), or is there some other knife method?

Trust me, people in the US are very low on the international mayonnaise spectrum. Try going to Chile or Belgium or Ukraine some time. You can tell this was written by someone in Singapore anyway since no self-respecting American, or even (especially?) someone in the Trump administration call a shrimp cocktail a GD

I think you’re referring to the Panama episode with the cocaine (which was funny, because it was obviously this government propaganda display). If that’s the worst you can judge someone by, seems like he did a pretty fucking good job at life.

This news on conscious gender inclusion is great, but that topic could have stood on its own. Instead the author goes totally out of her depth on Spanish politics and government and looks every bit the clueless NYC 20-something writing thinkpieces on subjects she knows nothing about.
