This is actually the best answer. Top speed is meaningless, even Bugatti and Koenigsegg have sort of stopped pushing that envelope.

There is probably some statistics and margins of safety of their vehicles super structures involved. This number probably gives them the best chance to meet that 0 fatality number.

It would be easier for a road course series to mask the speeds with close angle shots of the cars, but I don’t think you could hide lower corner entry speeds. The last few seasons of F1 have had ridiculous cornering speeds, if something drastically reduced those, i believe it would be very noticeable.

The perception of a speed difference between 185mph and 165mph is almost impossible to see when watching in person or on TV. The speed issue has to do with F1 self image, they want to be seen as the top class in motor racing with speed as the raw measure, harrumpf I say

I am extremely interested in this 7.3 Gas v8. For a company that long abandoned the traditional v8 architecture to go back for an ‘all new’ design in 2020 in intriguing.
