Buying new isn’t always a bad thing if you can afford it and understand the common pitfalls.

Very easy for this to become the case. The average car buyers has no idea what loan terms actually means in terms of Loan To Value over the life of the vehicle. This is why I tell anyone that asks about buying a new car, to get GAP insurance to cover them for these exact situations.
