There are no restrictions on feral hogs in Texas. Donation of meat is a nice idea, but it’s not widely used because of lack of knowledge of such programs.

The meat is only good from young males and females, the big boars which are the real root of the problem are nasty as hell.

Also, be careful when you take one, the hogs can carry some very nasty disease, like Hepatitis.
