Conspiracy to commit sedition and Trump is at the top of that pyramid of shit.

I voted for Biden because, as a Black woman, I have no other choice. I’m not a fan of Biden and never have been because he is a Pepsi Light racist.

He’s not cowering for sure. He’s fighting with people who helped him get elected. Which is obviously fucking stupid (unless you’re Trump I guess).  It doesn’t work well for Democrats, and he’s supposed to be a leader here.  Not an antagonist.

there’s ample ways to do that, make it so that there are actual financial penalties the officer has to pay if they don’t do their jobs properly, cops don’t get paid a lot so if they want to avoid losing their homes, they’ll be incentivized to actually do their jobs right.

If you are an abuser who is an alcoholic, you are both an abuser and an alcoholic, not someone who is only abusive because you drink” THIS 1000%!!!! Every time you look at abusive alcoholics you realize that they were abusive even when sober! Every fucking time

“...saying that we’re talking about defunding the police. We’re not. We’re talking about holding them accountable,”

Thurmond unlike the current crop of racists at least had loyalty to the country. These breeds of racists are far worse. The GONazi’s are no longer the loyal opposition. They have become the treasonist, degenerate, sedationist opposition.

Hard to disagree with those points. I lost the link but I remember at least one terrorism expert calling these right wing morons, Christian ISIS. Because it’s an apt description of what they are. Biden needs to wake up and realize that he and Harris both have a high chance of ending up as Civil War Presidents.

I cannot agree more that trying to make nice with these MAGA fools will have nothing but diminishing returns, and it disheartens me that more is not being done/said to secure those Senate seats in GA. I feel like that has been moved to a back burner in a way, when it should be top of mind for Joe and Friends. One look

I expect nothing from Joe B, save that he isn’t a Republican.

Louis CK’s apology didn’t do one of the specific things I pointed out that LaBoeuf’s did, i.e. “cast vague doubt on the accounts of his victims.” But it was a masterclass in deflecting bullshit. To start, the very first sentence after “...this is true” is a (very clever, incidentally) attempt to minimize his behavior

“...many of these allegations are not true” is not “countering against specific claims,” it’s specifically the opposite. It’s a vague denial, not a specific denial, and precisely because of its lack of specificity it manages, almost certainly intentionally, to cast a shadow of doubt over all of the allegations, even

I thought that both Champion and Paul come off surprisingly well with those quotes at the bottom of the article.

Is he really watching it, though? I just assumed they were using his name because he is more popular than many of the family and also because claiming William didn’t like it would sound more sympathetic and less self-serving than saying Charles and/or Camilla don’t like it.

“see - they knew there was a chance somebody would think that was really me and they aired it anyways!”

Hopefully he isn’t watching it, but I’m not surprised he is aware and concerned about how his parents are portrayed in media.

Yeah, I’m kinda scratching my head too. Maybe its just more complicated than this, but if you’re going “This is a work of fiction based on historical events”, but then refusing to just add a note saying that... yeah, I don’t get it, it’s almost like you want to maintain the wink-wink-nudge-nudge ambiguity of maybe

“We have always presented The Crown as a drama, and we have every confidence our members understand it’s a work of fiction that’s broadly based on historical events,” a Netflix spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. “As a result we have no plans—and see no need—to add a disclaimer.”

Why in God’s name is William even watching it? My parents’ divorce was ugly and incredibly protracted (the custody battles went on for years) but it wasn’t even half as bad as Charles and Diana’s. The very last thing I would want to do is relive it. I find it painful just thinking about it. Don’t do that to yourself,
