I would watch Prometheus 100 times before ever watching the fuck-awful Covenant again, and I was no fan of Prometheus.

I've not seen Moonlight yet (not released in the UK for a few more weeks) but I love the other two so much. I think this year has been incredible and even if I could not give a crud about the oscars, it bums me out if something like Deadpool (was not a fan) took one of the potential slots over a film that was actually…
I hope this isn't the case, I'm pulling for an M Night comeback but I got that vibe from The Visit and it pissed me off.
I saw it off the back of the promising but wildly uneven Ain't Them Bodies Saints. Expected to like it but it went way beyond that. Even the opening scene choked me up.
I really liked The BFG but there was about 20 minutes in the middle where it died a death. It recovers but man, that stopped me from really loving it.
Yes! Such an excellent film, it channelled John Hughes without just ripping off John Hughes too.
I've seen the majority of films released in the U.K. and Pete's Dragon is still the one I loved the most. Such a punch to the heart.
Illumination are a pox on the animated world. Who fucks up Hannibal Buress as a wiener dog?
It's Sausage Party for me. That was the most miserable 100 minutes in front of the big screen that I've had to endure for a long long time.
I'm in the minority that wasn't a fan. I feel terrible for saying it but the kid was such a shitty actress that it just tanked the film for me.
I am a little baffled by the love in for Train to Busan, which I found to be a totally okay zombie movie that was about 35 minutes too long. Especially when it is referred to as a fresh take, aside from the noise element I thought it was run of the mill.
I'm with you for the most part. Aside from some action beats, it's really tedious.
Awful awful film, but that opening is so good. So good that it has made me angry all over again at how bad the rest was.
Funnily enough, The Fireman is on my pile to read.
Dammit, it DOESN'T have everything, my review is a fraud!
I piled through this in 2 days, the man is my hero after all. It was exactly what I hoped it would be, honest and inciteful with more than a touch of grandeur and self deprication.
TV - We are binge-watching Game of Thrones which I had seen the first two seasons of whilst it aired and it never grabbed me. Binge-watching it has completely changed my attitude towards it and I'm now really digging it. Up to S03 E04 now and although some of the big moments (Red Wedding, Joffrey, Bastard Fight) has…
On a movie theme note, 'Test Drive' by John Powell from the How to Train Your Dragon score makes me weak at the knees every time. In a time of un-hummable scores, this one reigns supreme.
When Springsteen played London Hyde Park, he invited Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem up on stage to perform No Surrender.
I saw it last night and it's pretty good but definitely has a few issues.
