There probably is. I watched the first couple episodes when they first aired as a fan of the original Teen Titans and decided the show wasn't for me. I caught the Control Freak episode by accident when I was either waiting on SU or flipping channels, can't remember. But I mean, it's nearly impossible not to do some

Well that's the beautiful thing about opinions, friend, we all have them and we can share them with each other, but not force them. If you don't want to watch him, then his opinion's not forced on you. I watch a lot of people and listen to a lot of thoughts on a lot of things, but I never let them think for me. I

I feel ya sister. But nope, they fully stand behind their product. In cases like that, I usually wouldn't mind, but at least take constructive criticism in stride. Don't try to make crap a meal and serve it to kids. However, even if you decide to do that, do it without worrying about the critics, whatever; but I have

I agree and it's also why I'm not surprised anyone fell for it.The fact that we can have such a discussion about this episode shows how mature this show is because, you're right, Steven Universe is all about positive aspects of the human… or gem condition, so when something like this comes along, it's easy to buy into.

Yeah, I'll be willing to bet that even people who was surprised by the twist probably thought it was at least a little strange that Navy wasn't really phased by anything going on around her.

That's a very intuitive viewpoint, and you ended it beautifully with that point about Garnet. Yeah, because of the staggered release dates of the episode, I honestly forgot about the gems in the human zoo arc. I guess I'd be lying if I didn't say in the very beginning I toyed with the possibility that Navy wanted to

I definitely get where you're coming from. I kind of had a similar experience at one point in the episode and that's when Lapis went over her feelings with Steven. In other shows where this sort of thing happens, the suspicious character is suspicious from beginning to end and either rub how right they are in other

Yeah they're aware. I'm paraphrasing a bit here (sadly not by much), but the creators have said several times in interviews that they hate cartoons with "character development" and "story" and feel like they need to have more bathroom humor and stupid jokes. It's implied in a ton of episodes where they sarcastically

So after scrolling through the comments, I hate to be "that guy" but I've got to ask… Was I the only one who saw it coming?… Well that's kind of a dumb question. Am I in the minority of people who saw Navy's betrayal coming?

You're absolutely right. It's been explained a couple of times that Garnet's future vision isn't always precise, she sees possibilities. So the balloon thing meant that one of the futures she saw was Navy actually being genuine and joining the team. It's pretty clever.
