I was amazed at how dark the ending was! It seemed to me that Korea was really scarred by the experience and deeply depressed. The Air Nation's pledge seemed to inspire her, but I think she may be a very different person after her recovery.

A very well written and thoughtful piece. But I think focusing on the people behind this as "immigrants" is a little off the mark. These are incredibly wealthy individuals and corporations that are buying up property and incredibly not wealthy people being pushed out.

This maybe the most first worldlyest of all first world problems.

Correlation does not imply causation. I would be willing to bet that the buttloads of money needed to throw these giant weddings had much more to do with the couples stability then the size of a party.

I don't know, I would have wholeheartedly agreed with you until fairly recently, but Marvel has really made me reconsider what can be done in the movies. Is it possible a TV adaption would be better? Maybe, but if they can capture some magic in a multi-picture cinematic universe it could be awesome.

I think this has been true historically, but given what Marvel has pulled off it seems like everybody wants to have their giant interconnected movie universe, and that definitely seems to be what they are shooting for here.
